Get rid of cheap foreign labour, refuse to admit it's created a shortage in supply of labour, and then legislate to avoid market forces. It's been the capitalist way since the 14th century.

Pretty sure your contract specifically says that you need to work additional hours to enable you to fulfil your role.You work several hours unpaid? And you accept that? I’d join a union and seek better conditions.
