Do you think we need a proper name for COMS?

St. Marks, Manchester.

No "arena" "stadium" or anything. I like COMS though. Does sound grand.

Got to avoid Eastlands because 1. It's not the name, 2. it's used derisively by Sky-rags and everyone else because, 3. It sounds like some grey-souled workers purgatory that one might expect to see described by Solzhenitsyn, or Marchenko or Olesha etc. / sounds like some 1960s council estate.

That would be brilliant. I am usually uncomfortable with religion being involved in football but it is our history and there are loads of grounds named after saints.

nothing wrong with it being called eastlands THB

:-) A more non-descript name you'd be hard-pressed to find. It's the kind of name only a committee could come up with. If it were a school-boy, it'd be the last one against the wall during picks for dinnertime football. If "The City of Manchester Stadium" is grand, this is the antithesis. Listen to the sound of it; whiny, tinny, and harsh. We're City, so we probably could take something like Buckingham Palace and rename it Sharples Grove, or Atkinson Mews, or something.

The City Stadium......sorted. N.Forest don't have a problem with the name....The City Ground.

hate eastlands....reminds me of Eastenders,Wastelands ETC.

The Blue Camp

Get a grip of yourself... silly childish name

the name is City of Manchester Stadium.. commonly known as Eastlands... over the coming decade the name Eastlands will be the preferred term... same as with Arsenal's old ground (not actually called Highbury) and West ham (not actually called Upton Park)
