Do You Vote?

Yes. I’ve been a floating voter over the years.

Consider I will be throughout my coming years. I always have a couple of things in mind when I vote, based on what I think is good for the economy and maybe one or two things for myself.

If the current party deliver that, then they get my vote again.

I voted Tory in 2015 (I think), as at the time I believed austerity would work (I was wrong in hindsight) and wanted something for first time buyers (which they delivered). I also thought even though it wasn’t aimed at me, the Gay Marriage Act was a good thing for society.

They didn’t deliver next election time, so I cast my vote elsewhere based on manifestos.

You have no idea, but are willing to vote for a grifter who admits to having no idea how to govern - unbelievable.

Can you afford private medical insurance, because I certainly can't

You voted for a grifter let's get real here(presuming you voted for Starmer the man of many suits mainly beige)

I have no idea, but what has been labour or conservative policy been for the last 20/30 years.
The NHS has been on its knees for more than a decade.
The question is - how would you feel if you went to the doctors and they asked to see your insurance policy for med care before they treat you or asked you to pay at point of appointment. If you're happy to pay every time you need to see doctors or have surgery, Nige is your man. He has spent an awful amount of time in the US especially cosying up to private healthcare insurance companies.

Farage is on record as saying he will look at different funding models, quoting France as an example. There, you pay up front and claim it back

He is also on record as saying the taxpayer should not pay.

That leaves the individual - you. Good luck with getting medical insurance at an affordable cost if you are over 65 and/or with a pre-existing condition. And as any US resident will tell you, insurance companies can be very picky about paying out. This can even come down to refusing to pay for a particular prescription, as they know better than the GP.

I believe deep down, Farage knows he will never win a GE so is simply hell bent on causing division

Of course I vote, I am a woman and women and men fought hard for that vote. Being a woman I would opt for saying women fought hard but I do realise that men also fought but of course it was the Suffragettes who got the publicity.

Every voting day be it for a GE or a LE or even a Mayoral election I say vote, I don't care which party you vote for but VOTE.
Too many of our freedoms are being eroded do not let this most important one go. VOTE, VOTE, VOTE.

The Farage lover Big Joe will be disappointed. He loves his free prescriptions.

similarly good luck on a Farage Govt calculating and refunding you the relevant NI contribution or tax payment for your NHS cover. Two issues there are to calculate that per individual would destroy any "savings" and the second would be if they did it and you found as a family you are £50 pm better off only to compare that to your PMI quote you just got for £2.5k pm

What is that set in stone is it?? Or are you predicting that'll happen.big difference.
What do we pay national insurance for??
I reckon I've paid about £30k in NI in my working life. That's my insurance pal.

NI & Tax goes towards the NHS. If this in the future is then moved to an insurance model (ie USA), you then buy varying levels of insurance
There is a video where Nige has been promoting full privatisation of the NHS and moving to an insurance model as he thinks its a benefit - and he has some links to these companies. I have friends and family in the States - its a nightmare for them

I say they will try it - I mean a good proportion of the NHS is already private - hence costs the government a fair bit more. This is at end consumer level
