Great news. Thanks Tolm.

Would sacking him now leave him free to sign for another club or would his registration still be held by us until any court case?
We'd still hold it. He would have to sue us to get it and we could counter sue for loss of transfer fee.

Phil McNulty estimated we could stop him playing for a couple of years and receive more money (and directly from him) than we would now on the open market.

Very interesting that, do you think our wonderful owners would actually make an example of him

there's no shot at a legal solution, imo.

The team can discipline him, but won't be able to deny his wages. All he'll have to claim is that he was injured or unfit in some way, no court is going to rule that a manager can force a player to potentially harm himself or be subject to massive fines and lawsuits

Got to be honest but this worry's me aswell

If its a case of Tevez saying he didnt undersand what Roberto said how would this stand up in court?
Would any players come out and sick up for Mancini, especially those who were talking to him on the bench last night.

There is no other option on the table.

Either the owners back Mancini, or he walks.

Mancini is forced into an embarrassing PR cover-up, citing miscommunication.

We happily continue to pay his wages until January and then accept less than £20m.

Not gonna happen.

Kaka's snub made a mockery of us.

This stand-off with Tevez is the owners' chance to show the entire football world that they and the club must be respected by players, no matter how big their perceive themselves to be.

Re: Carlos Tevez [Merged]

One thing I don't get is why he refused to play, can someone try and explain please. Was it the scoreline, the thought that he was going to have to run around for half an hour to try and get the ball as Bayern was hammering us on possession. One things for sure, I never ever want to see him in a city top again.. And as for dzecko, he'll be forgiven in time, but he'll have to get some form back quickly. Mario and aguero Saturday please bobby. FORZA MANCHINI
