My grandparents lived in one of those two semis in the early 50's. It was a club house and my grandad was with City then - he was the first player signed by Harry Godwin. He never played in the first team, but travelled as 12th man a few times (no subs back then). Played in the Manchester senior cup against a few of the lads that died in the Munich crash a few years later - I've still got the old team sheets.
My Nanna never spoke very highly of that house - on match days she said hundreds of people would climb over their wall, through the back garden and into the ground to dodge paying (the kippax wall boundaries were originally right out to the house).
I used to see Roy Clarke often when I went down to the ticket office with my stubs to get away tickets. Always seemed a gentleman and I was touched that he remembered my grandad - same with Ken Barnes.
