Does Anyone actually rate Kolarov??

Kolarov simply brings nothing to the team .

He can t defend , he is lazy and you can see it on his face time and time again that he has no passion for football , whether it be City or any other club.

The only hope for him is that the laws of the game are changed that you can roll on roll off for free kicks... even then what has he done apart from rescue us against Napoli at home a couple of years ago ..

If he remains at this club this season and gets a start it will only be because the treatment room is full .

shocking player ? really ?
you do realize he scored 5 goals and made 4 assists last season? is that bad for a left back ?
if he was so shit, Juventus wouldn't be interested in him.
bit of headline/content tension here:
Kolarov Open to Juve Switch
31 July 2013

Manchester City left-back Aleksandar Kolarov has left the door open on a potential move to Juventus, despite saying he is happy to stay.
The 27-year-old started just 11 Premier League matches for City last season and has struggled for regular football due to the presence of French left-back Gael Clichy.
Kolarov has been linked with a switch to Serie A champions Juventus recently, and when quizzed about the rumours, he declared that he would be interested.
The Serbian was also at pains to state he was not seeking a way out of Manchester immediately, but added that if he was not a regular under new manager Manuel Pellegrini, then he would be keen on an exit from England.
"I'm happy at City and it is my intention to remain," Kolarov told Tuttosport.
"I want to play as much as possible to show (Manuel) Pellegrini my qualities. I want to remain in Manchester, but it is only logical that should I not be given any space in the team then I'll have to evaluate a few things.
"It is nice to know that an important and prestigious club such as Juventus like me, but I'm not the only person who will have a say on my future.
"If something is to happen then it will be decided by the two clubs first. What I can say is that I was happy in Italy and I like your football."
Kolarov told the Serbian press last week that he was "available to cut my salary" in a bid to play first-team football.
He was signed by City from Italian outfit Lazio in 2010 for a reported fee of £16 million.

Good. I hope he proves you doubters wrong and smashes in a few beauties!
Scoring a few goals wouldn't prove anyone wrong.

Who has a better back up left back outside of Real Madrid?

Gets caught out positionally far more than any of our fullbacks but will be useful against against teams that park the bus as Clichy is inept offensively.

Why do we need to sell him?

seems to be the new scapegoat now dzeko is playing well

What the fuck is this scapegoat bollocks?

He and Garcia arent 'scapegoats' they're just not good enough,by a country mile.

Dzeko always had the ability he just lacked the attitude/confidence.

Inept offensively? Might not have the goal threat of Kolarov, but you find a left back who does. Clichy overlaps as well if not better than Kolarov and his crossing/pull backs are OK. Far from inept.

Kolarov has played a lot of minutes under Pellegrini. Maybe like with Dzeko he is willing to give him a chance. Whatever people say about his defending, his offensive contributions should not be overlooked. Always provides the width, and almost always threatens with his crosses/shots.

From the games I have seen it looks like he is more fired up than last season. Not surprising maybe, he wants to try and impress the new manager, much like Dzeko I guess. Hopefully Pellegrini instills some urgency into his defending - and hopefully he never makes a back pass like THAT one a couple of weeks ago.
