Does anyone still buy a tv license?

So many things are forced on the populace that cribbing about £3 a week for good quality television, radio and online content seems ridiculous.

I agree Mr short and there can be no pleasing some folk.
I have a theory they moan for moanings sake :

It wouldn't be so ridiculous if they were serious about opting out of the services. What most are discussing is how to get away without paying for it whilst carrying on using it.

The issue for me is not paying for it; the fact that you must have one to watch any live broadcast is a bit absurd; why should BBC get money for stuff that they don't produce?

No my cosmic friend the response to investigators is to shut the door in there face.
No contact ever.

Watcher! Watcher, where is my world? Where is my home? Tell me, please.

No matter how long or how dangerous the way, no matter what prevails, I will endure..... I will never stop searching... For it is the one with the big fuck off 80" LCD Panasonic on the wall !!

It's worth the £12 a month to keep unwanted guests from my property.

Thats like round Maine Road in the 80's.
Translation: Give us a quid and I won't scratch your car.

Comon. Its a very small amount comparative to other tv and online services. Whether they produce it or not their infrastructure to transmit has to be paid for. What about the non live broadcasts, by what criteria should they be free ? What about the radio services ? I think its a bit absurd cribbing about less than £3 per week.

If you parked your car on Cowesby Street next to the bus station then you were safe. I would guarantee that to my customers.

It is fairly cheap yes but if I'm not watching BBC content why should I have to pay for it? I live in a house where the license fee is paid so I've no axe to grind but it seems a bit mad to me
If the Beeb's content is that good then why do they need the licence fee to subsidize themselves?

Obviously with lack of advertising revenue they need funding.

Do you never watch iplayer, bbc tv or bbc radio ?

Yes I do, my household pays for it's license fee though
What I'm saying is if I didn't use their services I'm not sure why I should have to pay them for it because I chose to watch other live television programming
