Does anyone still buy a tv license?

wrong thing to do TCIB is to remove there implied rights of access. the licence resistance forum stongly advises not to as it can trigger a search warrant, a simple do one via the letter box will do with no more comunication, the last one that came to my place was lucky enough to catch me in the garden i told him to jog on and he said they will be back so i said sit on the garden wall if you like, that was 3 years ago so i'm doing ok but there due to return around now

A very very rare event indeed Marco and that is if they can convince a magistrate to issue a search warrant without any evidence of wrongdoing.
Highly unlikely a magistrate would sign a warrant because you have removed someones implied right of access.A perfectly legal thing to do.
If the police were be called to assist because you refused entry they cannot assist the beeb and are only there to stop a breach of the peace.
It is beebs policy never to force entry which negates the whole purpose of the search warrant in the first place.

Not posted it yet luckily hehe, i'll just leave the dogs out more, they kept the bugger at bay well enough :-) k so don't send the letter, got it and thanks for the advice.

I am not some tight sod, i just feel being told i have to pay 150 quid for something i genuinely never use. If i pay it i'd never forgive myself and it would nag at me i just did what the system says.

basically its like a red flag to a bull, they see their rights of access denied and it gets their backs up so they sling shot you with a warrant ''if your unlucky''
everything is in here incase you have never visited

The same aplies to street calls from them if someone called at your door and asked to see whether you had a washing-machine would you let them in? Prpobably not so why permit tv licence in to look for a telly ?
People who work for TVL/BBC have no more right to enter private residences than people selling dusters.

Less than £3 a week. Fucking disgusting for all that TV, Iplayer and Radio. I can totally understand why people are up in arms about it.

Is it because it is forced on the populace ?
They could just scramble the signal but if they did that surely they would starve to death ?

yes they do need to convince a magistrate to grant a warrant but i'm afarid they all piss in the same pot if you get the drift, they have been known the get the 178 form signed then add bits to it after the visit, Capita will lie and twist the truth to get their £20 commssion. you are correct that Capita do not force entry but should you open the door and refuse entry you are then charged in court with obstructing a warrant which has a higher fine than a first time evader

Had a reminder this week. If they sack that **** on the BBC sports site who is a ****, then I'll pay it. I'm writing back to ask if any more Man Yoonited documentaries are planned, then I'll consider whether to pay or not.

They just came round and after identifying themselves i simply said 'i don't wish to talk about this thankyou and good day' he just said 'ok' and toddled off. I have also written to the bbc to remove assumed access from my property for their staff and sub contractors or affiliates. The dog kept them out the garden but still this helps.
Do not do this tee! They just come back with a search warrant and will have you mate

So many things are forced on the populace that cribbing about £3 a week for good quality television, radio and online content seems ridiculous.
