Does anyone think the new ST points system is a good idea?

4800 and not to fussed.

It was always gonna happen and I think it's a decent way of doing it and keeping ticket prices down for those who can't afford it. The money they are making from the superbia tickets had to be made so if it wasn't them then it would have been added to everyone's season tickets.

This is the ffp taking effect. It won't stop clubs spending, it will simply make clubs need to earn more and so will lead to more sponsorship and more fleecing of fans.

I would love you to explain how the minuscule (in relative terms) amount of extra money raised by even the most extortionate ticket price rises would make a significant dent in the type of losses that City make.

This FFP mantra is a total fallacy and if/when the club meet these requirements it will have very little to do with the prices of season tickets

No you're right, it's just cos the club wanna screw us over like always. It's a hate campaign against poor supporters cos we only want rich ones.

We have to make money in everything we do and this is a way of doing it. By having superbia tickets it keeps other prices down. This in turn ensures more fans can afford tickets thus a fuller stadium. A full stadium has thousands of fans spending money on merchandise and food/drink. More money on match days goes towards the ffp.

The club has to make money.

No, 3,900. Can see me dipping in and out of the Platinum category over the coming years. Suspect many will join initially from a fear of being left behind/overtaken but then in later years people will try to take stock.

So, you seem to be saying that these 'changes' are in order to ensure a full stadium? And that full stadium, which presumably we mustn't have at present, is going to be vital in order to meet FFP?

I think that is totally baffling on more than one level.

Yes -5000.

Gives people more choice, those that are prepared to pay a little more can do - this helps to keep the price increase down for those that struggle to afford their tickets While still allowing the club to increase their income a little - this has got to the best for everyone surely?

The thing is, you've gotta be in it to win it. Those on a higher points tally must take up the scheme or risk the chance of being swallowed up by those who are paying their way to the top.

I think it's going to cause some discord and only benefits those who can afford it, forcing those who can't to possibly take on unwanted debt.

But how do those that are so stretched they struggle to afford £260 for a season ticket (£5 a week) afford to stump up £100 + travel costs for, say, a trip to Wembley?
They couldn't afford to go anyway, so the number of points they have is irrespective.

Just over 2000,could really care.Going for gold 19 notes cheaper than last so I would be stupid paying for extra points for games that I have no chance of getting to anyway, rags away, for example.Cup finals as well.

There's a difference mate, and don't just bring up the cheapest ticket. People want to stand with mates or have their favourite block so go that extra mile to get what they want. And I'm not saying that the £50 extra is a massive amount but at least people had the choice with a fair system, now they like it or lump it.

As for a Cup Final, don't talk daft man, people would sell their Granny for the chance to get there, now you're saying they don't even deserve the chance because they aren't as rich as Tarquin!

Bad form Dear Boy, bad form.

No I'm saying for those that are properly screwed financially, it makes no difference. Those that can and and have earned points by attending away away matches - could - by missing one, afford the extra £50 anyway?
