When you go on an organised trip, you're not limited to what bars you can drink in. I did Santander and Hamburg with Thomas Cook and predominantly drank in Spanish and German bars respectively.

because maybe they want to be around blues, have a laugh and sing city songs? each to there own on the trips, do what you want, but not all people that find an irish bar are looking to smack other fans. and the trips independently may be cheaper, but alot of people go on spike or TC cos it saves hassle with organisation, everything on these trips is there for you
