Dogs!!!

Be dilligent with as a pup and make it know 100% that going anywhere food that isn't in its bowl is unacceptable.
It is not allowed in a room where we are eating, and it is not allowed to look at us when we are.

It has to sit and wait calmly when we do feed it.

Doesn't take much training either and it is better for the dog and us (less stressful).
It helps that its a retriever and is as docile as fuck....

Bet it doesn't crap when you tell it too....

Remember my mate telling me about his son and his mate having ordered a Chinese 2 chicken curries, the son went to get drinks for both, while his mate went to the toilet he left his curry on the settee by the time both came back into living room my mates springer had woofed down the chicken curry the lad had left on settee haha..

My mates Boxer escaped its crate and polished off half a tin of Quality Street, wrappers n all then had some crazed sugar rush and chewed one of the legs off the dining table. Must have had some shiny shites in the days after.

I started out with the best intentions and did much of what you have said, the thing is he is my best mate so he gets away with murder. He looks at me, thinks I am going to get told off for this but in 30 seconds he will have forgiven me so bollocks, he eats it/does it etc. I see him on the field sniffing fox shit, he looks at me and decides the bollocking is worth the 30 seconds of fun he will have, again knowing we are best mates in minutes.

I would rather him be like that than too good that he has no fun.
