Dominic Cummings

he actually said he thought there was a distinct possibility that he had caught the virus. He subsequently was sick.

Is there not a distinct possibility that anyone whose partner - who they live, eat and sleep with - has Covid 19, also has it?

That seems to be what you are suggesting.

So what makes his distinct possibility so different?

(And that's without considering that hundreds of households where all parents have had it have managed to muddle through and look after their kids - suggesting that the 'emergency' is probably not statistically likely at all)

I agree 100 per cent. The centre ground seems to have vanished. It has been replaced by propaganda from both sides and the media is a huge part of the problem. I think a lot is fuelled by hatred on social media which is heavily used by journalists and politicians. The last time I looked at the stats 90 per cent of the UK population didn't engage on Twitter and yet so much political debate is driven by it. The country has become a very toxic place.
There are some decent MPs and journalists but they have been drowned out. It's the same on this forum these days unfortunately.

Take the central position and you'll be attacked by both sides of an argument you didn't ask for or didn't want bud.

It's not what I'm suggesting. It's what he described as his thought process at the time.

You can tell how bad it went - go on social media - Rigby, Petson, Boulton, Kuenssberg, Gibbons are all getting trolled in defence of Cummings.
Rigby just asked Boris the reason he hasn't sacked him is because he couldn't live without him.p

I'm really bored by the media, the news and the general hysteria that surrounds this pandemic.

It's just one thing to the next, blame, lies and a move back to division of identity by politics. The elephant in the room is no-one actually seems to give a toss about those who have died or how we best contain the virus and get things moving again.

We are talking here of a mass breaking news about the activities of a pointless, irrelevant government adviser at a time of the greatest crisis ever to face the country, social, economic, everything.

If Cummings broke the rules, so what? Boring.
