Dominic Cummings

I don’t think it’s about that at all. I don’t even think the story is about Cummings as such any more, it’s that we now seemingly live in a state where opinion is more important than facts or the rule of law. Amazingly, there’s some conservative Mps that recognise that more than some of the public, who will ultimate suffer the consequences more from it.

It was a newsworthy story in the first place that has become even more newsworthy due to the response to it. Disregarding facts due to the perceived motivation of the people presenting them is a very slippery and worrying slope.

How Boris hasn't ditched his arse I will never know and slipped him back into a job in a few months time when it's yesterday's chip paper I will never know. I say that because it's clear he will always be a part of his team.

Politically it's a huge gaff.

I don't see it as Flawed. <i listened to his reasoning and based on my understanding of the rules thought it was fine.

Which brings us back to the original question.

If his reasoning is fine, then his child must have been more at risk than every other child in a similar position.

So why is his child so much more at risk than the thousands who managed to muddle through at home?

Because we can all see that if everyone in the same position took similar action, the containment policy would have been left in chaos, with thousands of families immediately seeking some sort of emergency help at the first sign of symptoms in one parent.

You have to be able to see this?

Incredibly find myself agreeing with you for the second time today. Would have been the obvious course of action, he could even have been “sidelined “ while retaining influence. It’s hubris I think that stopped that happening

It won't last ;-)

No!
His child is at the same risk as every other child in a similar position and every other family in the same position would have been justified in making the same decisions.

I'd imagine right wingers will be pretty moist at the retarded way people are pursuing Cummings and fiddling while Rome burns. If this can be kept going for another month then the covid shortcomings and the deadline for extending brexit may pass unnoticed....

Let them then.

Dominic Cummings and this government basically told people that they were shit parents and shit people. That is not okay.

Balls to Brexit, go for a no deal Brexit for all I care right now.

Think you are overlooking one key aspect, namely it’s being fucking hilarious. I mean this is the brains of the fucking Govt we are talking about here who thinks an eye test is strapping the loved ones into a car and Mr fucking Magoo’ing it all the way to a tourist spot on the wife’s birthday and then getting lost in the woods several times and all this during lockdown.

Oh yeah definitely it's ridiculous but he's not the first to of driven 300 miles or whatever at a time when you really shouldn't. He probably had his reasons, he shouldn't of done it that we all agree, it's just I personally couldn't give a toss.

Not defending the guy, I just can't really figure out why I bothered watching the news today because there hasn't been anything that is considered news.

Boris announced a lot of new things tonight and none of the journalists asked a single question about them. It was a total waste of time and adds no value to anything surrounding the real issue which is the pandemic.

The whole thing is another page in the relentless stream of boring, tiresome bile be it coming from the government, the media or anyone related to politics.
