Lots of people are mate including MP's and International athletes. Despite assurances that people born in the UK are exempt that only relates to those born and travelling here. If they are travelling from visiting relatives in Yemen or travelling with parents who live here but hold a UAE passport for example you're fucked. This is already a shambolic administration that didn't check on the legality with the Justice Department and didn't check with the Immigration Department about how this was going to work. He has pissed off people home and abroad and is currently issuing Tweets to justify his position............. Tweets FFS - this is the POTUS ffs how much embarassment can the US take?

I've offered my view: he is a non-starter. His policies, stances and projects are irrelevant. Whatever his political perspective, whatever he tries to accomplish, whatever papers he signs and things he says . . . here's his history: he is a liar. He is untrustworthy. He is not a man of his word. He is duplicitous. He is purely, solely self-interested. He may or may not be pathological.
When I am proved right -- as I know I will be, because it is the story of his career and his interpersonal dealings -- my guess is that you and all others will wonder how you could have fallen for him. It's not like he isn't demonstrating this publicly almost daily too, but anyway.

The issue is that the Electoral College puts a thumb on the scale. When a Democrat wins, the thumb on the scale is overcome. When a Republican wins, with a distinct MINORITY of the voting population, then the thumb on the scale has helped cause it to happen.
I know...Logical thought is hard when it doesn't fit your views, but it is not "whining." Rather, it is pointing out issues that, in this instance, highlighted a problem with the process.
As to the result, I'm sorry you don't want any further "tripe about popular votes, electoral colleges, etc, etc," but I could have sworn this particular thread was the one thread on this Forum that was uniquely suited to that discussion. Did you stumble here thinking it was the "what should pissheads talk about tonight...but it can't be about Trump and the election" thread?
In addition, the notion that it is "tedious, pointless and futile" suggests a level of critical thought of the order of an early thirties Chamberlain, and shows a complete lack of knowledge of the manner in which the elections are done, why, and how it can change. But then, from your perch, this is all noise. For some of us, it is the life around us.

You could be right. There is certainly dignity in being a window cleaner, and I could certainly spend the entire day looking in the mirror to feel better about myself. And, you hit the nail on the head when you said I have a limp. After a short career as a professional footballer, when it gets cold, it IS a bit harder to get going of a morning.
Oh, and it makes getting up and down the ladder harder, too! ;-)
