Not so much at the Senate level though — even in a small, dead red state like Wyoming the constituency is pretty broad. Watched the trial of the Rapist who used to be Chief. It is beyond understanding how those bastard Republicans can be such cowards. This will be twice were a cast iron case against the lying sack of traitorous shit will get off with it. Extreme fascists, evangelical Taliban with white skin shamed their country, should have all been shot and would have been if it was Antifa.

Those shitebag Republicans will go down in history as enablers and traitors. Imagine any future US attempt to curtail world despots?. They will just laugh at them and tell them to go fuck themselves. The only way they won't get that response, will be if they convict Trump.

If they were black protestors they would have been shot. If any county is under attack, in its very seat of power by any extremists other than white Christian ones, they would have been. It was an insurrection and under that situation defending the Capitol would have been carried out. Trump failed to send support to help those cops. Failed to send help to the politicians who were under threat of death. Yes they should have been shot and they would have been, if it were any other group and the same bastards would be lining up saying it was the only course of action. You attempt a Coup and you don't have security defending their Seat of power with force? Really?
