I think everyone knows Trump will not be convicted but the GOP itself and those in the chamber without the moral strength to do it, should be on trial here and be shown to be for all the world to see.
Not that that helps the world view of America, but the GOP needs to be held accountable.

The elections in two years will be very interesting , i can see why they are afraid to upset the trump base but they were victims of trump and the mob and they should be glad they didnt get hold of any of them and kill them . Some things should go before political considerationsAgree.

The FBI and local cops knew what was coming. They were thwarted in deploying because Trump didn't order it. He caused those deaths. All of them.National Guard would have been there and there would have been shootings but they would have got nowhere near entering the building. That’s the truth.
There was a lot of preparation put into the lack of preparation that shouldn’t be overlooked.

The fact that the Dems put all the evidence forward for the world to see and they still can’t convict him will be further damage on the American political system and America itself in the eyes of the world.
They can have no moral superiority over anywhere after this.

No doubt there would have been shootings, maybe teargas or other heavy handed actions that would have dispersed a mob before ever getting up the steps.

Please give us your view on why he shouldn't be found guilty. It's probably a better argument than Lionel Hutz has been giving.
