I have nothing positive to say about the Sophists. They were the weakest Greek school of philosophy. They were simply about winning arguments (or at least to give that impression) to give the impression they knew everything. They also charged for their 'advice'. Socrates' starting point was that we understand very little and life was about gaining knowledge.

Sophistry, as a trait, is something I dislike in people :)
