What is a great player?

To me a truly great player is one that delivers in the big games. One who rises to the biggest occasion. Someone who by sheer force of will - added to the other qualities they have - can forge their identity on a match and change the outcome.

Rooney has failed to deliver in the last three international tournaments that he has been involved in.

He is a very, very good player, but he is not a great one.

Simple really,therefore not world class.

There's no such thing as 'world class' (no definition to what it is, no guidelines to who can be named) so it doesn't matter anyway.

You've decided to judge a player that constantly scores against your team off a few internationals. Blue specs to the side..don't be silly.

Look above I have already said who is,Rooney is not and i've always said this.He's very good against shit teams though.I repeat rooney is not world class.

Regarding Rooney he was on the brink of world class in my opinion in 2004 BaconChops slapped it out of him to make him a great league team player for the scum!

And I just went for a piss that lasted for about 3 minutes.

I am not being sarcastic, I am being total honest. I do have certain mental problems and a couple of posters have total wound me up!

I'm not saying you were, I thought we were saying completely irrelevant things. Even if you are disabled, I still think I can have a good football debate with you.

EU 2012 played 2 scored 1 (missed the first two important games with his own stupidity but the media still made him out to be some sort of returning hero against Ukraine and conveniently forgetting why he was not there against France and Sweden.
