we fly from leeds bradford to dusseldorf on the sunday night.

can someone explain how the train thing works. is it right the train fare is included with the match ticket? is it true this is only if you travel on the day of the game? and will their be trains on back to dusseldorf after the game

if so we can book a hotel in dusseldorf for all 3 nights if not will book 2 and the night of the game in dortmund

Your ticket will entitle you to free travel on the day of the game on all transport in Nordrhein Westphalen (NRW). So you'll be fine using it from Duss/Cologne to Dortmund and back on the day of the game.

the match ticket includes the train ticket (from Düsseldorf, not from Cologne or Frankfurt), but only on matchday. Trains running throughout the night

Ruhr, why is travel from Cologne not valid, but is valid for Duss? Is Cologne not in VRR? I thought the match ticket would be fine for all of NRW.

Thanks.

I picked up a Ryanair flight from Stansted to Dusseldorf out early morning of the game and back the next morning for £50 including Ryanair's charges. Not bad if you can get to stansted.

take care. If they fly you to Weeze, you are 70 Kilometres away from Düsseldorf near the dutch border.

Yeah it is a bit of a trek, so not a good option for everyone.

I could try and get a lift from the lads coming over from Charleroi!

VRR is a cooperation of local bus and train companies. It ends somewhere south of Düsseldorf, excluding Cologne
