Dortmund Fans

Sch...04 never heard of it.

I think, it was not about germans don´t have funny chants. (That one of freiburg fans about Idrissou playing Champions League on play station was brilliant for example). It was about english fans having funny spontaneous reactions to what is happening during a match, a thing that is drown out by constant singing in ultra-style support in gemany.[/quote]

It gets drowned out, but if you're not standing in the south stand or close to it (and sometimes I am when I'm there with my little niece), you can still hear fans heckling and have "funny spontaneous reactions" to whatever happens on the pitch.

It's irrelevant. English people don't rate our humor anyways, so no point in trying ;)

Oh and Leverkusen fans are terrible. But that's just my opinion ;)

Re: AW: Dortmund Fans

Sorry, but totally bullshit saying we were not interested into the game. We are not travelling hundreds or even thousands of kilometres just to sing and entertain ourself. No, we do that, because we love our club and try everything to push the Team forward with supporting while the team is playing on the pitch. This is pure passion. May not sound so sometimes, but it is.

Spot on it's pure passion and 'support' for your team and you can sing and watch the match. Don't worry some of our fans struggle with the concept. They are there to be 'entertained'

I just wish they would listen to the likes of our olympians who said that the support they received pushed them on, gave them inspiration and allowed them to find that extra bit of reserves of energy that made the difference.

Our support is rubbish though.

Far too many lazy fans. I really don't know why most fans go to the game. They contribute nothing, absolutely nothing.

Couldn't agree more

If you go to a match in France.. you would explain that you 'assited' that is the normal verb for attending a match ... the significance of that verb s probably not lost on most clubs worldwide

Another thing I almost forgot.

Your police is amazing! Never in my life have I seen such nice and friendly police officers. As already said, some of them even gave us some drinks and snacks. On the way to the stadium, we were able to have a normal, fun chit-chat with the bobbies. The police in Germany would just tell you to keep moving, look at you like you're a piece of shit and beat your ass with a stick if you fall out of line (slight exaggeration). I want them in Germany!!

Re: AW: Dortmund Fans

What u need is standing areas. Creat a campaign that fights for standing areas in stadiums. Unite with Fans from other Clubs all over the country and show the gouvernment all the stupidity of the law that forbids Stands. Then u have to convince the clubs that Stands are important for Fan culture and great atmosphere. But may be harder than it sounds..

There is one and it was supposed to go to parliament, I don't know what has happened but it hasn't been accepted yet. But there is hope: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012 ... k-terraces
