Doves

Setlist from last night at Sugarmill, 27th November.
Cheers for that. Nice they chose "Mother Silverlake" off The Universal Want, though Setlist has an edit to make below. ;-) Makes perfect sense with the lineup. Only 2 off the latest so we'll see if more new tracks get added.

A heavy dose off the first 2 with "Rise" and "Sea Song". Amazing.

Jealous over here. :-( Patience required...

I love Mother Silverlake. I only seen through reading the lyrics it's about their mums, hence the title :)

Cracking setlist, I think I'll have to get tickets for their tour next year now, they've got such a variety of songs to pick from.
Hope Jimi gets well soon.

Makes me sad to see a band without it's lead singer. Heartbreaking to watch the Williams brothers try and hold this together. But I understand they need to make a living and can't do that whilst not touring.

I clicked on Here It Comes and got into the groove again but by the time it got to around Jimi's bit it descended into the worst sounding Doves you'll hear live (and this a song that Jimi sings the least on).

Aviva tickets are £40, (£50) for seats. This ain't worth half that I'm sad to say. Gutted for them as I think many people buying the tickets aren't even aware Jimi isn't going to be there and this will disappoint a lot of fans but also people that haven't seen them before. They are a band but Jimi is the heartbeat that makes them come alive. Technically his style of bass (lefty iirc) seems to be an issue too from those clips.

Hope Jimi recovers and is able to live out the rest of his life a very proud man of what they've achieved though. For those going In sure the boys will still get a lot of love and if people have a good time, nice one.

Interesting article on the band I got in my online feed on their latest touring without Jimi and the upcoming album that we know is due on 14 February.

I'm really rooting for Jimi to make it back to being on stage, but grateful on what is to be released.
Also interesting that they've had this album ready for a year, maybe that was to release closer to when they'd likely be ready to tour together. Hopefully just a question of when...

Bit of a slow burner this one but still majestic.
Yeah, I'm liking this track a lot with some references to prior songs I haven't quite connected yet (guitar at 2:38), but I hear them. The brothers Williams vocals works very well on this one.

Interesting article discussing the song lyrics and the upcoming tour. Fingers crossed for North America at some point.
