As your only occasionally downloading, I would go witht he interim solution of plugging straight into your Virgin box whilst downloading. (Just remember to reboot the virgin box everytime you swap the wires over)

ok try the username admin and password admin and have a look at this guide.

admin doesnt work...tho the page that comes up when i put the ip address in is different to that shown on the port forwarding help

they may updated the router firmware, this could be why its different screen to yours
