A good pint of Robinsons is a rarity indeed, as it can often have the bouquet of a particularly eggy fart.
As for that Einhorn lager monstrosity that they used to sell...
Glad you're back to your normal name too mate.
That w@nkypants business was just weird.
You cant beat a spot on pint of Robbies, but like you say Fetlocks it is a rarity, it does not travel well

Since The Blossoms had it's refurb and new Landlord, the Unicorn in there is fucking spot on.
Wheres the Blossoms mate, i am willing to travel for a good pint of Robbies

The top of hillgate basically on the bramhall lane/A6 junction. Always used to be a good pint in there, the church is also good.

Spoons in the morning is a depressing place, missed my 6am train earlier in the year, next one was 7.30 so went into the spoons next door to wait. Seeing blokes queing up for a pint at that time was depressing.

Why?
They could be on nights and just put a shift in.
When Manchester had a fish market, the local pubs used to open at all hours round Shudehill.
There are a lot of things in this world that truly are depressing, but some bloke queuing up for a pint isn't really one of them.

Nij giving people the benefit of the doubt yet again! I'm 99% sure these men don't have jobs at all. They're alcoholics plain and simple with their benefits ensuring the drink keeps flowing. It's the same faces again and again and again.

My personal preference would be for Spoons not to serve alcohol until Midday to let us breakfast and coffee types consume in peace. My order usually takes a minute or so and then the Bar person has to make my coffee. I'm usually getting fierce death stares from men wanting their second Fosters of the morning whilst they impatiently wait at the bar. I'd actually go elsewhere but there's no Café in the area around me. They've all closed.

Aren't pubs in Germany 24 hour places, precisely so people who do work unusual shift patterns can go have a beer when they want. I don't think they're full of alkies.

Germans like a drink but they don't have the same culture we do. It's all the Oompah Bands and swinging the glasses in the air with them.

Never thought I'd see the day when 'The Blossoms' got a recommend for anything other than their curly ham sandwiches.
