Driving to France/Spain

Going in 10 days booked to france and just driving, Italian lakes prob stick to the N roads if you got time, no tolls and are pritty good. Miss Paris if you can. Got 3/4 weeks off so no rush to get any place

Nice. I love doing that, just getting in a car and driving off. What's your general direction? Down towards Marseille then turn left along the coast towards Cannes/Nice ?

Drove down to the South of France a few times, toll roads are great, usually quiet, not like the motorways over here. A fucking long way though, we usually break it up with an over night stay, make sure you can speak a bit of French, as the ignorant twats refuse to speak the Queens English and you'll need a few basics to get by.

Pretty much this. France is great, the french are the issue.
A point i was only to happy to explain to them.

First 2 nighnts in Brugges, like it there, may be a bit of Holland, Germany, Austria, Italian lakes, Gorge Verdon missing the cost i think then back up though France, top down weather permitting. But nothing booked but the first two nights just wanted a change

Fuckin glorious round the Gorge and great driving in them mountains. The 'route de Bagnols' to Frejus is my fave drive ever.

Some decent campsites around there where a few euros will get a big caravan and a swimming pool.

I used to cruise around in my samba or an old Land Rover..
