There's a night club called Dicey Rileys on harcourt street that sells pints for €2 on Wednesdays, there's probably a cover charge too though.
Plenty of places charge around €4 (£3.50) for Guinness and there'll be promotions on bottled beer in places too. Just stay out of temple bar as advised above.

As Paul said diceys on hartcourt street is good I've been a few times theres a couple of places in around there

Temple bar is full of hens and stag do's can be good but expensive drink also goes up the later your there probably start at 5.50 after 12 6 then after 1 6.50
