the need for new blood in jan transfer window is now the only saving grace ? a top draw striker even if we have to spend BIG just get him. messi will be the talk and the truth is at his age maybe a gamble that the club really should not take. like most Braut Haaland has to be on the shopping list. the way things are at dortmund it could be they are willing to sell there best players to give a new manager money to spend

so can the setup change with a new striker ? well the answer is YES just look when pep had to play aguero for the last 15 minute chasing the the win ? the chains have to come off from now on aguero has to start and the 2 midfield holding will have to change and gundogan has to be changed for foden in the D.silva role

enough is enough and i think city can not have another bad result from now on and we have to open up and go for the win in every game. sack this setup so what if we let in goals because we score 4 or 5 when facing teams like WBA
 
Just score one of those massive xG chances each game and dullness would go away and this thread would not exist. In those two previous title winning seasons we had so many 'dull' games, but we always somehow scored. Everybody goes misty eyes about Kompany's goal against Leicester, but that was a game where we huffed and puffed and if that was not for that goal, well....And the games I remember against Bournemouth, Southampton (almost every time we play them), West Ham in 2017 when Merlin was our saviour, and so on.
 
I really feel we should get Messi for the short term.
It would give the club a boost and we would then have a player who will go past players and create/shoot.
Peps Pep. With Messi he would be awesome Pep.
Plus Messi would surely bring out the best of the squad, apart from the no hopers like Mendy

I can’t see us buying anyone in Jan. I don’t think Pep believes there are pressing recruitment needs. I really hope Sergio gets back to full fitness in the year though as that will be the equivalent of a new signing...

And de Bruyne’s form has been poor and Kun has been injured, Walker doesn’t play every week and then you’re left with a world class ’keeper and a full set of not world class outfield players.

Ederson world class with his feet but not a world class keeper hence not even being the best in his country. Walker world class pace but definitely not a world class footballer or defender, hence the amount of brain farts etc whilst defending. KDB yes but obviously out of form. Sergio was world class but not anymore that’s pretty clear to see and nobody else even close.

The press don't need to read Bluemoon to slag us off they can do it themselves. Who cares what the media say . If they report that lots of us think we are under performing and are pissed off let them fill their boots.

Did he play GazBaz and De Jong together very often? don't remember that tbh. Wouldn't class Yaya as a pivot player, he was true box to box
