Dullest Football Since Pearce?

No, as much as hated the football under Pearce it has to be noted that Pearce didn't have a pot to piss in, this manager and players should be doing much much better than they currently are and at the very least they should be putting the effort in.

A blip is a few games.... We lost 9 league games last season and We've continued that type of form this season, that's a fucking lonnnnnnnnng "blip". We've scored half the goals this season compared to last and on course to concede more goals as well. We're now a third of the way through the season and it's not a blip, it's a pattern.

I think the OP means that this is the most boring football since Pearce.

Ever since we moved to the double pivot, I have to say this has got to be the dullest City side since the Pearce days.

We were obviously worse under Sven and Hughes but there was a far more positive approach to the way we played.

This double pivot just sucks the life out of our game, our strengths, and reduces the chances that we create by having one less player in the box. It also makes us a far worse team imo.
Came on here to start this exact same thread and you beat me to it.

I actually said in 2 different Whatsapp groups that this season reminds me of Pellegrini’s and Pearce’s last, and it seems many feel the same.

The two defensive midfielders is absolutely soul destroying to watch. It’s getting the worst out of the team and completely negating DeBruyne’s threat.

How Pep can’t see how diabolical it is, is just completely mind-boggling.

2015–16 was very boring, and 2016-17 wasn’t good.

But the 8 draws in a row under Hughes were more exciting than the last 4 months.

Things will never be that bad.
Sorry mate, you’re not getting it.

Since... post... after... subsequent... intervening... following...

So in the time since Pearce - which means Sven, Hughes, Mancini, Pellegrini and the first four years of Pep - and doesn’t include Pearce - this is the most boring football we’ve played.

Ah anger issues tonight, yeah then : )
My bad.

I have just checked out our assistant manager. He has had about thirty clubs and win virtually fuck all.

Hopefully we'll stay in tier 3. Who the f*** would want to watch City V Newcastle, 11 behind the ball, 1 attack, 1 goal for Newcastle, on Boxing Day?

Never mind the pivot, did anyone take up the half-pike position tonight?
