I would rather the few million for a player who never looked anything special in our EDS team compared to his team mates tbh because either we weren't the right place for him to be or he didn't want to be here.
Exactly....so what was the point of bringing him over...like I said and you have also agreed with bringing foriegn kids in is a big gamble and a flawed system and is only done because clubs are always looking for the next big thing and scared of missing out on something

There is plenty of British talent at youth level our U14s , 15s and 16s are up there with the best in Europe and 90% of those squads are British players.....these proposals will bridge a gap to the 1st team for these lads hopefully
And we also have some real talents like Manu Garcia, Marco Lopes, Brahim and Zack Faour in there, which doesn't do anyone any harm, so why the complaints? If these players make it then it's a plus, if they don't they're potentially a source of income when sold on.
I don't dispute we have some very talented young foreign players and I have no complaints about them being at City, but I want these players to make it with us not sod off home at the first opportunity and then to top it off end up playing for Benfica or Barca's or whoever's 1st team and being worth £10s of millions and we have picked up a couple of million for the kid in compo, this is why I don't think bringing in young foreign players in is the way forward for our academy and maybe the new proposals by the FA will limit any foreign talent making sure it is only the very best

Any kid that makes it at City now will have to be world class that is for sure and I think the 14s 15s and 16s will produce that kid

Why does he[Dyke] feel the need to change youth structures every 2/3 years without waiting to see do they work?

The fat fucker and his pissed up merry men have no fucking idea. They should have proposed to extend the substitutes to 10 but 3 of them must be home grown under 20 players. This would allow teams to use those younger substitutes when battering a team with no risk of losing. Would have been nice to give some of the youngest an opportunity against Arsenal, Spurs, Norwich etc this year. Also have an option to utilise a 4th substitute but the player can only be home grown 18 and younger.

I'm really not happy about the proposition of Premier League B teams in the Football League. It's a pathetic measure that doesn't fix anything but will actually make the value of the oldest professional football league in the world decrease by a huge amount. Teams like York, Burton and Luton would be forced into the conference to make way for Chelsea B, Rags B and Liverpool B.
How does any of that fix the development of English players considering those League teams are mostly English and the Premier League B teams are mostly not. It's a stupid ill thought out proposal that I hope gets shot down.
There's nothing wrong with having a B team league, of which there is one in the U-21 League.

Hard to take a commission of Dyke, Hodgson, Danny Mills, Dario Gradi, Glenn Hoddle, Greg Clarke, Howard Wilkinson, Rio Ferdinand, Ritchie Humphreys and Roger Burden seriously in all truth. made up with non football people, dinosaurs and half wits like Mills and Ferdinand.

They say more English players need to be in the PL but with FFP and the PL FFP teams just cannot buy good English players from lower leagues these days. It seems if you play 10 games in the championship and are English your valued at 10 million. Teams can get the same type of player abroad for a tiny fraction of that.

Many studies have shown restrictions based on where you are born do not improve standards. These proposals will only increase the quantity of English players not the quality.

It will make no difference to the England team while reducing the quality of the Premiership. If we can't play more than 2 non eu players where will they go.....Spain and Germany. The problem is that our English youngsters are not prepared to work abroad.
