Dzeko / Bent article in Guardian

Seems a bit of a pointless exercise to me this one.Surely a truer assessment of both players abilities would be better made in 2-3 years time.No disrespect to the bundesliga, but it's not at the level the Prem is.

We got a striker with great potential with Dzeko, but it takes time adapting to a new team, especially one that plays in a superior league to the one you just left.

I guess Dzeko e.g. scoring two in two matches vs Utd doesn't count, as they played only in CL at the time? And as we all know, PL is far superior to CL as well, the mighty Wolves would beat the crap out of say Bayern, which was also in the Bundesliga at the time, and the following season made Utd cry in the CL?

What a load of tripe, if you guys don't actually watch the Bundesliga but learn about it from The Sun, fine no harm in it, admit it and move on, but this would be embarrassing even for an average kindergarten.

Funny that because the man himself has already spoken out and said it's more difficult in the prem. He's played in both,so i would say a better judge than me and you.As for comparing champions league to premiership.what a load of rubbish,it's a cup competition.Toto schillaci won the golden boot in the world cup but couldn't handle it in serie A.Now saddle that high horse of your up and chill out. It's all about opinions.

Bent has scored goals. Can't argue with his record. and givem
time so will Dzeko

How about this then, slightly less unfair (I bet you didn't even notice being unfair above :): Dzeko has scored goals in internationals, plenty of them. Nine in the WC qualifiers, just as many as an in-form Rooney, don't have the stats on the CL at hand. How about Bent?

THERE IS A WHOLE DAMN WORLD BEYOND THIS PLUCKY LITTLE ISLAND! :)

Or does anyone need an even pluckier, smaller Croatia to remind them of that again? Btw, I still keep two newspaper front pages:
1. The Daily Telegraph, as high brow (even stiff) as you can probably get, front page after the 2:3 at Wembley and the draw for the WC qualifiers, stating something to this effect: "Oh no, we have to play Croatia again!"
2. The Sun (a running joke of a toilet paper which we all love to hate), after the actual WC draw: "EASY -- England, Algier, Slovenia, Yanks"

Lessons learned on the plucky little island, before 1., in-between 1. and 2., and apparently after 2: SUMMA SUMMARUM 0.

Seems like the show really must go on, and what is worse, this particular series re-runs more often than Top Gear on "Dave" (a very repetitive yet quite cool TV station for those living abroad)...

PS Even the damn Guardian has obviously joined the sensationalist clique, is The Independent the only one left with nearly always readable sports section and online content (I recall some decent blogs, assume they are still there)?

I will a couple more games before having an opinion on Dzeko. Going to give him time to get used to the pace of this league.

Now then someone has got out of bed on the wrong side this morning. The point i was trying to put across, was lets have a more accurate judgement when our man has been playing in the prem for a while.I have no doubt that Dzeko will be a big hit for us,but for someone to start comparing two players who have played in entirely different league's,is a little misleading in my opinion.

I mean lets be honest,Diego Forlan never cut it in the prem, but it would be fair to say he's a decent striker in la liga, many more comparisons can be made, between different league's.I would also think that Dzeko would have good chance scoring against the rags who will play attacking football in the champions league,as opposed to Villa who played 9 across the back on Saturday night.

I knew someone was going to pull this one :)

He's played two matches in the PL (I for one would still be admittedly speechless, in a state of shock, and wondering whether these plucky islanders even understand what the term "a system" implies) but Dzeko has at least regained his speech.

I wouldn't take everything he says in a state of obvious shock seriously, as it has obviously caused a temporary amnesia which led him to forget that he scored TWICE in TWO against UTD which is a FAIR PL SIDE in the BLOODY MINI-LEAGUE stage of the CL (you shitbag :)

It is indeed about opinions, as long as the actual facts don't get in your way. Please admit you don't watch Bundesliga, and let's move on. There is life after this post, believe me.

Count to ten and have a cup of tea for fucks sake my plucky little islander.

Fergie would have traded his left nut (the right one's pre-booked by Neville for the coming decade, and he's apparently been buying some straws at Tesco...) for Forlan last summer, with an injured and troublesome Rooney, and the head ballet prima donna Berbatov. Fortunately for him, Berbatov quit missing ALL the no-brainers, so he's half a striker now.

As per Dzeko, he's been scoring plenty against the bus-parking teams, you were just not there to see it, as you were not watching him. Admit you've been busy looking for porn rather than live streams, and I may forgive you for making me type this much when I should be doing something completely different.
