How do you think his adjustment is going from what you first saw from him to tonight? I think he has progressed immensley and i know more will come.

I thought his two finishes were excellent. His control for the first was extremely lucky but he took it really well. Second was great and what I hope to see more of that. Great finishes with both feet is hugely encouraging.

I thought overall he had a very average game though. His close control and first touch was again quite some way off the pace and his passing at times was abysmal. It shows up in our side when you have the likes of Silva hitting near enough every pass crisp and to feet. He is getting there but its going to be a slow process not a rapid over night transformation.

Im giving an honest opinion of what I saw. Some people dont like honesty. For his finishing id give him an 8. He should of buried a hatrick tonight. Overall contribution was a 6 as his passing was either excellent or shit and his control was the same. No inbetween. So a solid 7 out of 10 and a gradual improvement in his overall game.

2 cracking finishes but again pretty poor touch (got lucky with his first goal infact) and passing overall.

The 2 goals should give him a lift tho so hopefully his overall play will improve at a quicker pace. We must get Champions League football this season.

Yeah, a really bad game by Dzeko. The guy scores two great goals in 10minutes, helping the team gain the much needed confidence, plays better then Tevez and Baloteli combined and naturally we find reasons to dis him.... lol

FFS. Why can't you just say he did a great fucking job (like he did, man of the match) and try not to criticize him. I think you guys would find a flaw in Messi's game if he was to join City..

Simply because they hate to admit they may be wrong, due to being clueless when it comes to judging talent...
The fact they think they know more than Mancini and all the other managers who wanted him speaks volumes..!

Being Bosnian I'm biased towards Dzeko, but apart from goals, I have to agree with the resident slag party...he looked slow of the mark, heavy, tired...few bad passes...but so did the rest of the attacking players (I'm repeating myself) other than Silva...

And even though they get on Edin's back all the time, tonight they gave fair assessments...and you should read through their posts and not only pick the slagging part (even if it does become a habit connecting certain members of the forum to criticism)

Being Bosnian I'm biased towards Dzeko, but apart from goals, I have to agree with the resident slag party...he looked slow of the mark, heavy, tired...few bad passes...but so did the rest of the attacking players (I'm repeating myself) other than Silva...

all I saw was his best game so far. yea, they all made a few honest mistakes, but who cares? City won 3-0.
