dzeko presser from 1.30

It depends what you mean by fans, regarding numbers really. If you consider a fella who is a season ticket holder at the swamp and has been for years but has about 8 kids who aren't interested in footy but he makes them wear a rag tops, does that mean his house has 9 utd fans? Not really.I've seen kids on my street, riding their bikes, wearing a scum shirt while utd are on ITV.They're not interested. You can't class people like that as fans/supporters.The only true way of settling it is to find out where the 40 odd thousand at Eastlands live and the 70 odd thousand at ot live. 99.9% of rags are rags because they want to be classed as winners following a winning team.Once they stop winning,I don't believe they'll switch their alleagiance to another team. They'll just say they don't follow football.

Some of you lads need to get a grip. Especially 'hisroyalblueness'.
Seriously mate, your going on about voting and postal districts on a football forum u weirdo.

I'll be the first to moan about Old Trafford being a circus full of clowns from far and wide. IMO That doesn't take anything away from our local support though. Iv been to Old Trafford only a handful of times in the last 3 years but before that I had a season ticket nearly all my life and it hurts to not go anymore but Iv got my principals. The reasons for the boycott are well known to anyone unless ur living in a blue bunker in Gorton somewhere with a blow up banana and a laptop.

If any local city fans on here genuinely believe there are more city fans in Manchester then I'm sorry but your deluded. You can take Salford out of the equation if you want to.

I think a decent measure of local fanbase can be seen in pubs and every pub Iv ever been in on Derby day or anytime as always had more Utd fans and City fans are always in small numbers or no where to be seen. There may be an exception to this but but Im yet to find one. It would be fair for you to question where I go drinking but Im sure my experiences can be applied to anyone who gets about regularly.

It annoys be a bit all the bollocks city talk but Im genuinely glad you do it, because its funny. You live up to your reputation well.

Can anybody here come up with a plausible argument for there being more muslims, hindus or protestants in Rome?

This thread as been linked up on redissue. So im sure there are a few reds wanting to prove you wrong but posts get blocked and usernames banned. Ill be pleasantly surprised if this post makes it on the forum(its go no swearing or bad taste, just MHO and a few light ribbings)

bye

Oh shut the fuck up you paranoid ****, he's allowed to have an opinion that's doesn't toe the party line isn't he? Is it any wonder they call us liars when we are constantly spouting this bollocks about out numbering them in the city, anyone who actually believes that deserves to be called deluded and bitter, it makes me fucking cringe, I was born in the 50's and they've always been the majority while I've been alive.

A couple of magic posts DoubleDenimDave, and you're absolutely spot on. Ignore these fucking tools, anyone who's embarrassed by some of the small time stunts our club pulls is a considered a Rag on here. Leave the mongs to it.

Morning love,Wrong side of the bed was it? or someone eaten all the coco pops?

No paranoia, read his previous posts,he's taking the piss....

And sort your language out bigmouth, you'd get a slap in the street.
Thinks that's the same kid with different user accounts.

not read the whole thing but this is correct

It also makes me cringe to hear that shit, do any of us who live here in Manchester really think we are the majority??
We are 50/50 at best in some parts of Mcr and outnumbered elsewhere (heavily in some parts). I don't understand why we'd want to perpetuate a lie about it as in the end it just reflects back on us as bullshitters.
All the blues I know would acknowledge Utd have more fans than us round here (but we think we're close or equal in terms of match goers). Lets just accept it and hopefully it's about to change a bit with some success for us over the next decade

To be fair though, considering what United have won in recent generations, the amount of support City have within Manchester does the club proud, in fact it's nothing short of an astouding level of support.

Whereas for United with all they've won and the sheer size of the modern incarnation of the club, to have a rival club that's won nothing in 35 years take such a large amount of supporters in its home city is something that understandably could only be framed as embarassing for them, if anything.

So regardless of whether City have less fans than United in Manchester, there's only one real winner from the figures, and that's City, make sense?

No, I dont agree with that. Where do u live? Did you go to School in Manchester? Do you regularly drink in Manchester? If the answer to the last 2 questions is no, then you should probably take note of what others are saying rather than talk rubbish.

If Utd had been more fan friendly over the last 10 years, I honestly believe we could of got close to world record attendances. I think we have the highest average attendance in europe/world now (I may be wrong). Thats with a ground full of mongs. If the club hadnt fucked over the local support, Old Trafford would now be something special. Maybe thats the price of success, who knows? Our local fanbase is in the pubs which is wrong and I think things could and should of been different.

I agree mate, our support is great considering the success across the City we've had to live through. As we all know - we've put up with such a lot and stuck by City and our numbers have been fantastic. Not suggesting otherwise.
But I am suggesting that we diminish this great support by pretending we are the actual majority in Manchester - or allowing others to say it and not correcting them.

Oh, come on .. the only things we can do to them at the moment are beat them on the pitch whenever we can and give them some stick that we know is going to hurt. The majority City fans thing hurts them, it makes them crazy so what the hell. Why not? No-one is going to write a thesis analysing the real numbers anyway. It's good banter in that it gets them going ... Same for the Tevez poster by the way. Anyone embarrassed by that has missed the point. It got them so excited, it hit a nerve. Classic. Who cares if people think it was arrogant. We know it was a piss-take. Let's just enjoy what Dzeko said and laugh with him.

We had the highest average attendance in the country, WHEN WE WERE IN DIVISION 2!! You're in denial sunshine

if you go to manchester city centre and ask everyone who they support, ye alot will prop say united BUT the majority of those people dont even know where old trafford is, still thinks ronaldo plays for them, only supports them because rooney plays for them, if asked who matt busby was they would say something like "dunno is he the grounds man." so you cant really class them as united fans.

im obviously not from manchester, and when i stayed there last year for a while (stayed in the city centre) i didnt see any UTD fans till i went shopping at the trafford centre.

im not just saying that, becuase im sure they're around (becuase their everywhere). but i saw plenty people with city beanies and people who had just been shopping at the citystore.

maybe its just the area i was in... but its what i saw.

edin was obviously just having a WUM... some people taking this way to seriously.

he didnt need to do it.. he had me at hello.. but this reaction from the UTD fans about it is just hilarious. well done edin

Most city fans are not daft they know there Are more rag supporters in manchester than City supporters! But the best fact is there are more city fans in manchester who go to the game than there are rags who go from Manchester

its got utd fans well stirred up and for that its a job well done on Dzeko's front! It was the first thing a utd fan said to me at work this morning lol!

The majority of the people i know claim to be utd fans, but very rarely (if ever) go to a game. Because of utd's success in the last decade or so, if your a fan of football in manchester the easy thing to say is you support utd.
