dzeko presser from 1.30
Oh, come on .. the only things we can do to them at the moment are beat them on the pitch whenever we can and give them some stick that we know is going to hurt. The majority City fans thing hurts them, it makes them crazy so what the hell. Why not? No-one is going to write a thesis analysing the real numbers anyway. It's good banter in that it gets them going ... Same for the Tevez poster by the way. Anyone embarrassed by that has missed the point. It got them so excited, it hit a nerve. Classic. Who cares if people think it was arrogant. We know it was a piss-take. Let's just enjoy what Dzeko said and laugh with him.
Think about what your saying. How do you know it hurts us? Its mildly annoying at best but the mild annoyance makes derby day victory and trophies even sweeter. Thats the beauty of football rivalry.
How could Citys 'banter' genuinely 'hit a nerve' and 'make em crazy' when you've basically admitted its bullshit in your above post. How would you feel if Utd fans started saying none of city fans come from Manchester. Do u blow ur top when we say u come from stockport?

if you go to manchester city centre and ask everyone who they support, ye alot will prop say united BUT the majority of those people dont even know where old trafford is, still thinks ronaldo plays for them, only supports them because rooney plays for them, if asked who matt busby was they would say something like "dunno is he the grounds man." so you cant really class them as united fans.

Have you ever gone to the city and carried out this survey you talk of? Or are you using generalisations and stereotypes? Take your blinkers off

Seriously mate, your going on about voting and postal districts on a football forum u weirdo.

I'll be the first to moan about Old Trafford being a circus full of clowns from far and wide. IMO That doesn't take anything away from our local support though. Iv been to Old Trafford only a handful of times in the last 3 years but before that I had a season ticket nearly all my life and it hurts to not go anymore but Iv got my principals. The reasons for the boycott are well known to anyone unless ur living in a blue bunker in Gorton somewhere with a blow up banana and a laptop.

If any local city fans on here genuinely believe there are more city fans in Manchester then I'm sorry but your deluded. You can take Salford out of the equation if you want to.

I think a decent measure of local fanbase can be seen in pubs and every pub Iv ever been in on Derby day or anytime as always had more Utd fans and City fans are always in small numbers or no where to be seen. There may be an exception to this but but Im yet to find one. It would be fair for you to question where I go drinking but Im sure my experiences can be applied to anyone who gets about regularly.

It annoys be a bit all the bollocks city talk but Im genuinely glad you do it, because its funny. You live up to your reputation well.

Can anybody here come up with a plausible argument for there being more muslims, hindus or protestants in Rome?

This thread as been linked up on redissue. So im sure there are a few reds wanting to prove you wrong but posts get blocked and usernames banned. Ill be pleasantly surprised if this post makes it on the forum(its go no swearing or bad taste, just MHO and a few light ribbings)

bye
Unlike you red shite we allow conversation
Most city fans are not daft they know there Are more rag supporters in manchester than City supporters! But the best fact is there are more city fans in manchester who go to the game than there are rags who go from Manchester
Im not sure whether thats true? It could be. Even if it is true, thats not historically the case though is it. Thats only come about over the last 5 years. A period where we've won everything in the game. You've got to admit that says a lot about our support in a positive way if you think about it.

The thing is though, salfordred, what muddies the waters regarding local support is people claiming to "support" a team while knowing fuck all about them.I,up until recently, worked in a factory in crumpsall. Most of the blokes in there lived around the Moston/Middleton/Failsworth areas. The majority(60-40) were utd fans over City fans.Only a few of the reds were ST holders, whereas most of the blues were ST holders.I appreciate that in Manchester, there are a LOT of genuine utd fans who care about your club and are knowledgeable about football in general.BUT,you must admit that there are a lot of cringeworthy pricks who just hang on to the coat-tails of utd's success, dismiss anyone else and would drop you like a stone if your success stopped.I dare say over the next few years we'll get our fair share of them aswell.

So Edin has made a comment that has inflamed the red side of the land, boo fucking hoo. I make no bones about it I fucking hate all of them with a passion. I was 10 when City won at Wembley and I am still here. Since then and prior to I have had to listen to rag manager afetr manager after manager tell me how great they are. I have had to listen to every player that they have ever signed tell me how great a club they are, every fucking pundit tell me how great they are. Do you know what I am not fucking interested one iota. I hope there shit club implodes, I hope they would slip in Blue sqaure league oblivion. They have milked munich for years hence the AIG logo on the flag the other year. Totally arrogant in everyway from their fukwit fans to the pissed one. Why should we be worrying about how they might perceive us. I hope the fuckers can't sleep at night, it is about time we started giving the shit back, no we haven't won anything yet but isn't it about the next win? And if being a City fan was about winning then we would n't be here would we. These rag scum don't understand what being a City fan is all about and never will do until they have been through it like we have.
So we're ruffling a few feathers? FUCK'EM!
Dzeko looked confident and happy and came across as being fairly switched on. Come the match at the swamp I only hope he is really fired up because there is no way on earth that vidic and camel gob will be able to live with him. We will see how good vidic is when he is up against a strong, intelligent skillfull player, and we all know what a 5.06 welshman did against camel gob.
As they say Don't belive the hype, especially when it's tainted in red shite.
Instead of ripping each other apart lets concentrate on on taking over the world. We start in our own back garden, then the league then who knows?
Just for the record I want to see us push for the league this season, just so that piss can can have "not in my lifetime" rammed down his throat. BTW Slur Alex if we have won the league before the end of the season I will gladly join the queue to make your wishes come true.

Is this thread about Dzeko? How come every thread is turning out to be something about why you support City and where your from!!

Because is all city go on about is where we're from. Dzeko is hinting at where we're from. Its great that a Bosnian whos lived in germany for years, is coming over and telling us whats whats in Manchester. That what happens when you sign for city

Firstly I have 1/2 very good rag friends who know the game inside out, go regularly and are what I'd describe as 'real fans'.

I think the attitude of city fans towards Utd fans is centered around this;

On my facebook page I have re connected with a load of people I have not seen for years. There seems to be a lot of 'Utd fans' who at school had no interest in football whatsoever. The thing that annoys me about them is the fact that they are now such 'massive' Utd fans who regularly leave status updates about them, put their religious views MUFC, and join daft groups like 'Theatre of dreams' and 'Gary Neville hates scousers' etc etc.

These are kids who could not kick a ball at school and showed NO interest in Utd and now they seem to have latched onto the club to reinforce their 'manhood' and to be 'one of the lads'. It reinforced my belief that a lot of Utd fans are social zeros who need and crave acceptance and use their over the top 'support' of the club as a prop.

Now, Im not saying there are city fans who if push came to shove would say they support city due to family ties etc (my brother is one of these) but don't really have an interest in the game. The difference is City 'fans' like this do not feel the need to crow about their support in the way a lot of Utd fans seem to.

Hope that helps.

Fair point and I agree. Could we build a ground big enough to house everybody who claims to support utd? In a perfect world we could and we'd charge a quid to get in and even then a lot of so-called utd fans wouldnt go. Just because theres lots of glory hunters, jcls and kids in utd tops doesnt mean were all like that. I think it would be fair to say Utd have (or had until 5 years ago but we've not all died) got one of, if not the biggest 'hardcore' following in the world and our away support down the years proves this.
