No need to buy a new striker. Play 4-3-3 and we have 3 player to rotate for CF posititon -aguero, bony & iheanacho. Sterling can do a backup. We need flexible attacking player, not limited striker.

Dzeko has been great..... In sporadic bursts, he (understandably) took time to get up to speed on arrival, when he was on it, he was unstoppable, the 4 goals v Spurs away for instance, but there has been that apparent attitude issue, we've all seen it, which has marred his performances, given us cause to gripe one minute, then the next game he scores a vital goal.
Negredo's arrival seem to spur him on in pre season, a serious threat for his starting place, he banged in 20 (?) that season..
As a member of 2 title winning sides, he won't want to be competing with youngsters for a game, he wants out, he wants, and needs to be wanted, and it's better for all concerned, he wants games, we can't give them to him, so, thanks Edin, and good luck!

Disappointed on reading this thread today that he hasn't fuckin' gone yet, contrary to the SSN newsflashes last night. Hurry up out the door now please. Thanks for what you did on the occasions you could be arsed, but for the most part, you were a clumsy, idle, soft, useless twat.

It's good to see on this thread that our loyal supportive fanbase hasn't changed since the takeover

Short memories some people, he's got us out of the shit on more than one occasion and that hat-trick + 1 he got at the Spuds was probably the best four goals you'll ever see by any player in one game.

Harsh.

The guy has scored some really vital goals for us, often breaking the deadlock. He gets plaudits for QPR equaliser and Spurs 4 goals, but remember the first against Villa when we really needed a win? Or putting us ahead vs Everton right on half time?

Thanks and good luck Edin

And he's been well recompensed for that. But last season, his attitude was fucking awful and best for him and City that he leaves this window.

But for the mot part, when he lost his regular place he's just given up.

It is quite telling that down the years some players with much less talent than Dzeko are revered due largely down to attitude. Dickov springs to mind. Dzeko has undoubtedly played an important part in the club's journey to becoming one of the so called super powers (we still have some way to go). However, the last few months of any player's tenure at a club is the period that is often remembered most. The writing was on the wall for Edin last year in fact since he extended his contract, but I do think unlike some who were moved on without be given a real chance he was given many chances. Manuel even said on his appointment that "Dzeko is our most important striker and I have trust in him." More recently his whole attitude has been very poor and could be construed as showing younger players a bad example. He is a decent player it's just that we've moved on, the thing that sticks in my craw is his leaving is like extracting teeth - If he'd had left quickly and kept quiet I think all fans would struggle to say a bad word about him. Quotes attributed to him warning De Bryune not to leave Germany didn't help - goodbye Edin and in time your first three years at City will be remembered rather than your last! And yes his performance against Spurs showed what he is capable of.
