Dzeko?

Met him once with his Mum and Dad in Kendals car park after my wife had nearly knocked him over driving into a space!! They were all very nice and he was especially humble (although that may have just been shock at how close his career was to being ended). Nevertheless he has been an excellent servant for our club. If anyone were to look at his goals for us on youtube as a prospective player that we were looking at rather than as a player we are selling the usual suspects on here would be creaming themselves over him!!
I for one wish him good luck for the future (unless of course he is playing us). Before you all go on at how few posts I have and therefore no right to an opinion, I have been around a long time, but as a lurking reader rather than regular writer!!

Nah, I think you're pretty much spot on mate, oh ! and my wife met him briefly too and he's was a gentleman and very unassuming.

Edin just needs a change and a new challenge, and I genuinely wish him all the best.

A watertight argument.

I think he means that in watching him play on a field, he finds that Kelechi Iheanacho displays more technical skill or better instincts than Edin Dzeko (the player he's comparing him to) does.

Not saying I agree, not saying I disagree. I assume you're a City supporter though, and at this point we've seen a lot of Nacho. Not sure it's outlandish to pass judgment on who the better player is to line up against West Brom at this point.

It is absolutely mental to suggest that a forward with 0 minutes of senior football is a better option than one with 223 goals in senior football. Mental.

It is, however, outlandish to label an 18 year old who hasn't played a competitive game of senior football to date a better player than Dzeko.

That's what he said, that's what is absurd. He's surpassed both Dzeko and Bony today apparently, give it a couple of months and he'll be giving Messi a run for his money.

I think you're running with the hyperbole here, and I get the case that you're making. But if Nacho is a better footballer, at this moment, than Dzeko is, at this moment, than it is what is. Doesn't seem like such a leap to me. He's not saying he's Messi. Just saying he's watched Kelechi play and feels like he brings more to the table than Edin at the moment.

Again, not taking sides. Just defending a guy's decision to take a side, since it seems reasonable to do that.
