Ed V Dave - 9pm on C4 & Sky News

I'm glad Ed came out of this debate well despite clear Bias and both Paxmen and woman Burley going for his personality and brother stuff

Economy is looking sound regardless of how the Tories went about it. Dave was foolish to make media circus about his future on the day 0% inflation was announced.

Agreed. The Tories have made great strides towards a full recovery. Some things they have done to achieve it though have been very unpopular. They will say it had to that way.
"The Tories have made great strides towards a FULL (?) recovery" by borrowing like crazy which the country will pay for soon( extra 500 bn this parliament as Jeremy pointed out to Cam who didn't seem aware of the fact) and by manufacturing an artificial property boom which has priced out first time buyers and will crash.
Get your facts right mate.

Spot on. The money from our children and grandchildren's future earnings gets added into today's GDP and counted as 'growth'.

0% inflation is a lucky break that fell into the Tories' lap.
They weren't responsible for it.

Jesus mate it's like a utd fan after the 6-1 saying we were lucky.

So how exactly did the Tories make the price of oil fall?

It's looking increasingly likely that we'll get a Red Ed government voted in for the next five years.

I think it's far too early to tell to be honest; anything can happen in the next 6 weeks.

Pmsl.

'The crash was everyone else's fault, labour couldn't have better prepared the economy by running a surplus during a boom.

The good economic climate in the UK now and zero inflation fell into the Tories lap'

I can't decide whether they are just stupid or just think everyone else is. It's amazing how every Labour government have left the country in a worse state than they found it.

How the hell they fucked up from the stable platform they were bequeathed in '97 is beyond me.

Still, at least Red Faced Ed got a good thrashing in the interviews and showed himself for what he is, clueless.

If and it's a huge IF he gets voted in, it will be crawling on the coat tails of the SNP whose sole aim will be to push the English public into derailing the Union.

He would most certainly not last anywhere near 5 years.

I think it'll be a continuation of the current coalition. I think the days of majorities are gone for the time being and think that's a good thing.
I dont see libdems getting enough seats to support anyone,it all points to snp and they will only work with labour, they will have around 45-50 seats...truly frightening.

If the SNP are the only ones propping Labour up, there'll be another election within 12 months.

Middle England won't take it well.
Not necessarily.
We have fixed term parliaments now ( 5 years). Only a vote of confidence against the Government or a two thirds majority of the house against the fixed term can lead to dissolution.
So if Ed and the Jocks can work together for five years , the Parliament could last five years.
Nothing to do with Middle England.

Then we differ in our opinions as the SNP have no interest of doing anything in the interest of anything but themselves and their next referendum or even better for them, making the English call for one.
