Don't City have the most academy graduates of any premier league team?

Not 100% but pretty sure I've read that.

I was fairly sure we held that distinction?

I think you are getting confused - despite what the media would have you believe, smalling, de gea, jones etc were bought for large sums of money, not developed through your youth set up

But they did find Ronaldo on a croft in Ordsall.

Point out where I said that he'd only go to City for the money?

Like it or not, we have a great track record of developing young players and turning Ronaldo into the superstar he is today is a famous example of that.

Hazard may well develop the same way at City but it's obvious to anyone (that isn't deluded) that for the moment we have a far superior track record of giving young players time and helping them realise their potential.

How long will Slur Alky be around to do that do you think?

2-3 years.

that counts Kagawas seasons in the first and second Japanese leagues.

Fergusons'close friend Dave Whelan thinks Ferguson will retire after next season:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/152273.html?CMP=OTC-RSS" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/st ... MP=OTC-RSS</a>
Sir Alex Ferguson will step down as Manchester United manager at the end of the 2012-13 season to preserve his health, according to Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan.

Ferguson, 70, has been at the United helm since 1986, leading the club to incredible success during his tenure which has included 12 Premier League titles.

The Scot has toyed with the idea of calling time on his coaching days, announcing plans to do so at the end of the 2001-02 campaign, but then decided to stay on as Red Devils manager. Although in December 2011 he did set a timeframe when he expressed his hope that he will be in charge at Old Trafford for three more years.

Whelan, however, believes his close friend will step down at the conclusion of the 2012-13 season after suffering a slight health scare in recent days, telling ESPN: "After next season, Sir Alex will call it a day. The pressure is telling, especially when you are at the top for so long.

"The older you get the harder it is to cope with all that pressure, and eventually it will affect you. Sir Alex is resilient and I know he will want to carry on until he drops, and I respect what he has achieved as everyone does.

"I am sure his intention was to carry on for two or three, maybe even more years, but he has had a little scare in the last week or so and that tells me he will think very hard, and realise there is no point trying to carry on

Again, I never said City wouldn't be an exciting prospect for him. But I think United would be too and the possibility of playing more regularly and in his favored position (along with the Ferguson's track record of developing youth) he could possibly chose us.

I think you're exaggerating with 'health problems', it was a heavy nose bleed! I reckon he'll be around for a few years yet.

So essentially what your inferring is that he's not good enough for us but he is for your inferior team.

Lol, no. I'm inferring that he has a decision to make, and it isn't an easy one. I think he agrees with me, otherwise he would have announced whee he was going to go by now, don't ya think?

No, he knows he's coming to us but he and particularly his agent want a bigger payday.

Can no one on here talk about football without acting like kids. The way some blues band about the 6-1 win is cringey. Back to Hazard now.
You are cringey and contrary.

You can usually tell them due to having a reference to large size (big, massive etc) or the colour blue in their ID.

Found this on the net:

"The academy is one of the most revered in the country and since its new incarnation in 1998 it has produced more professional players than any other Premier League club. To date, the club has produced 15 graduates who have received full international call-ups from their various countries; 14 that have represented their respective countries at the 'Under-21' or 'Under-20' level; 35 who have progressed on to become City first team players at some point; and more than 60 that are currently playing professional league football."

I'm not having a go Red_Fan, but United fans have been duped by the media for having the best academy in the world. It's simply not true, but a theory propagated by the fact they can quote the "golden generation" of Neville, Butt, Giggs, Scholes, Beckham etc. as graduates.
