I cant believe this, surely he wouldnt be allowed to say that if nothing was concrete?
I cant believe we have moved so quickly.

Please be true, this lad is special to say the least.

We have to move fast. That's how we managed to snap up Silva and Nasri. There's no more brooding about in the transfers, cuz there would only be scraps left, eg. Redknapp.

Even Wenger understands that and has snapped up 2 players already (M'Vila, Podolski).

There were really hints here and there as to where Hazard would be joining, with Fergie constantly saying recently that he can't compete with us in transfers, it probably meant we outbidded him, just recently, for Hazard.

From Ragcafes Hazard thread.

Mate Ive got to pull you up on this (and others that keep writing about how City are better) Manchester City do not have a better team. We are level on points FFS. We have been blighted my injuries all season, much more so than any other team in the Prem, yet we are still joint top.

We haven't been complacent or bottled it or not spent enough. We had a man sent off against City, we played for a draw last time out which nearly paid off given the scoreline. We have been without our preferred back line all season. We lost our CM and had to bring back Scholes. To put it bluntly we have not had our starting 11 for the majority of the season, and yet...........

We have accumulated more points than most of the winners in the Prems history already and yet its going down to the last game of the season against a team that have spent an unprecedented amount of money on the worlds best players.

So when it comes down to a player that is not already a superstar (with all their commercial rights and endorsements already in the bag) then it makes perfect sense to look at Manchester United to build their career, rather than be a possible bench warmer at City.

If Manchester City win the Prem this year, so what, it will be a very long time before they can come close to matching us in every department, whether it be records, cups, development or financial clout. Yes financial clout. There I said it. Every year the debt comes down, how long before there is no debt, do you think Manchester City will be able to build a global brand like ours in that time, if ever?

You can pump a huge amount of money into a club but at the end of the day it is finite. Chelsea will never be a powerhouse in the Premiership on terms with Manchester United in my lifetime or my childrens because they do not have the history that has created lifelong fans across the globe and a stadium that balances the books. Manchester City can win the league this year and good luck to them but make no mistake they are light years away from being the powerhouse that is Manchester United.

Apologies if you think this rant is against you, its not, sometimes it needs to be pointed out that it is not the club that is complacent, its us.

ESPN running the Hazard story now:

Lille star Eden Hazard has dropped a hint that he will join Manchester City or Chelsea in the summer as he revealed he will "definitely" be wearing blue next season.

Eden Hazard was present for Manchester City's 1-0 win against Manchester United last month

Hazard, 21, has already stated his intention to move to England at the end of the current campaign and emphasised that desire last month, telling Canal+ after Lille's 2-1 win over Paris St Germain: "I have already said that my wish is to go to the Premier League."

Both Roberto Mancini and Sir Alex Ferguson have declared their interest in Hazard and travelled to watch him in action in France earlier this year. The Belgium international was also present for the Manchester derby last week and reports suggest he looked at houses in the Alderley Edge area of Cheshire.

Chelsea, who have signed three Belgians in the last year, have also been credited with an interest in the player.

When asked on whether he prefers red or blue - Lille's home kit is red - Hazard told Canal+ that he likes both colours but added: "It's the blue that I'll be wearing next season. Definitely the blue."

Such an unneeded reference to Chelsea in the article.

He's already been to the Etihad to see City (therefore reasonable to suggest he's been shown around the facilities), scouted by us in recent weeks, apparently been looking at property and French press said earlier in the week that the only teams he was interested in were in Manchester.

Whereas, Chelsea, they wear blue and have 3 Belgian players. Wow.
