If you look at the actual quality of the shots conceded, there's a bit of a difference.

percentage of shots conceded over the longer period is quite a good stat. I don't think it's only Ederson where opposition suddenly have above average shots. He's nowhere near the top in the league. He's not elite shot stopper, not even close to it.

Again, not if you ignore the context.

Bravo should have made a hell of a lot more saves in his first season than he did and he didn't have a single game like Ederson's against Palace earlier this season. In fact, I don't remember him pulling off a single save close to either of Ederson's against Palace.

You can argue about save percentages and who the best shot stopper in the league is but it's pretty obvious that we have the keeper most suited to us.

he won't be replaced obviously and he has his advantages, but that "most suited for us" is bit of cliche we like repeating. In year or two us as we know us right now might not really be that us. Pep leaves and things change.

There are other keepers who are not as good as he is with his feet, but not that worse to think about them as not suited for us. Personally, I'd rather him to be less amazing with his feet, but better at shot stopping. Balanced qualities are always the best combination. Ter Stegen for ex. is the best example of keeper who I think would suit us better than Ederson. Not as good with feet, but still very good. And very, very good in classic goalkeeping. Overall, better keeper than Eddie. Won't be a popular opinion, but Allison is easily better overall goalkeeper than him too. Saves much more and he's not half bad in distribution too.

It is impossible to know how good these keepers would be, until you get them in the team and watch them. Nobody who watched Bravo at Barca, could have predicted the absolute disaster he would be at City. Allison looks a solid all round keeper but I am pretty sure it helps having a fully functional defence in front of him. Would he look so good playing behind a combination of Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Mendy and Zinchenko?

Nah, not for me. He was a huge part of why we were so imperious in the last two seasons and he's the least of our worries in this one. I wouldn't have swapped him for anyone else back then and I'm not about to change my mind until we've sorted the outfield problems.

I think a lot of the shots he's facing are having slight deflections as our defenders try to get blocks in. This makes some of his save attempts look a bit off. He's the least of our issues at the moment. Laporte being fit is top of the list to put us back on track right now, then Otamendi will be back on the fringes.

He was shielded in those Seasons where we just kept the ball for 80 minutes .Now he actually has to do some goalkeeping he's nah.

Before yesterday's game he was 15th in the Premiership goalies save percentages, maybe lower now. I know stats aren't everything but basically he lets in 1 in every 3 shots; Allison lets in less than 1 in 5. Whenever Pep ends up leaving, not sure Ederson will survive him going
