Ederson Moraes - 2017/18 performances

Game changer in the way keepers will be expected to be able to do in the future imo. I know Neuer is the recent OG(sweeping ball player) but this kids vision/passing/control/cajones stands him on his own
 
Ederson was BORN to play for City....can be absolutely brilliant, saving penalties and hitting howitzers to forwards, but then he has a bit of TYPICAL CITY in him...rushing out of his goal, and out of his box, to lay out his own centre half or get studded in his already ugly mug by the onrushing forward!

He’s a bit of a crazy fucker, who looks like he could have grown up on Moss Side! He will be an epic, possibly legendary, Blue before he’s finished at City!!
 
I think he has a strong case to win one of the POTY awards, PFA or writers. Hard to remember a player making such an impact in his first season. He's rewriting the football manual.

Explanation please
 
Honestly when the ref gave the penalty I knew instantly Ederson was gonna save it. It's a weird feeling really. I am more sure that Ederson will save the kick than Kun making a penalty. That's how confident I am with him.

He makes goalkeeping look effortless. The save from Ramsey wasn’t the best you’ll ever see, but he made a difficult save look easy. He’s been a brilliant signing.

It's the way he caught it like it was nothing, most keepers would be palming it away
 
I actually feel a little bit sorry for all the people who will name De Gea in their TOTS in May because they're constantly told he's the best in the world. Not enough people are appreciating how good Ederson has been.

You can understand why they would though as De Gea's style of keeping is what they consider to be the benchmark. We are slowly changing the keeping style and it may take several seasons for our style (and Eddy) to be acknowledged.
