Great attitude. Great strikes both of them and especially the second. Also worked hard for the team and 2 assists as well.

Him and Negredo looking a good pairing and seem to appreciate each other.

Needs to be seen how it will shape up against better opposition before I call it a better partnership than Kun/Beast though.

Liking what I see with Edin though. He's always been a great striker but now his overall contribution is making him offer more than say a Berbatov.

Keep up the good work. I'm converted if he carries on like this.

Tonight we saw 80% of Edin, it is hard under such duress to keep your mental state right on the mark.
By that i mean aggression is very close to dedication and he can do it, this means an awful lot to me.

Love the guy always have..... would walk into any other top flight team ....... unfortunately he had Mancini's persevering with Ballotelli then he's up against the Beast and Aguerrrooooo !! I mean talk about wrong place wrong time almost but whats that 52 goals for us now including one that is the 2nd most precious in recent times...............

Played very well tonight. All credit to him. Could well have ended up with a hat trick himself if he'd stuck away that first half chance.

That was a pretty bad miss, but he was unlucky that Adrian made two top-class saves against him later on.

Interestingly enough - that first chance was from almost identical position as his second goal/screamer... and even on his STRONGER foot...just goes to tell it probably bounced over his foot or something....it. happens. even to the best of them.

BBC website...

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko: "We are getting better all the time. It's not easy to win 5-0 at home against a Premier League team but we did.

"Was it 6-0? Oh."

MOTM tonight, 2 goals, 1 asist, a lot of shots and hard working. Keep it up Edin !

The important part for me is that he didn't drop his head after that (admittedly very bad) miss. That's the mentality he needs. Lovely play from him tonight!

Criticised him previously for poor, lethargic, clumsy performances, but tonight he was fantastic.

His attitude was great, his touch was good, he looked strong as an ox.

Well done Edin

A very good performance two with 2 goals and assist.Nice link up play as well. Pity he skied the chance in the first half, would have been some goal after brilliant stuff from Nasri. Keep up the good work Dzeko! Ooooo Edin Dzekoooo:)
