Edin Dzeko (contract update page 370)

Re: Edin Dzeko legend

EDIN'S FIRST TOUCH HAS GREATLY IMPROVED since he has been here.

NOW his first touch is more than adequate if you care to watch his game carefully.

He struggled with his first touch last year - definitely. I'm more and more thinking it had more to do with physicality of EPL than his talent (he had no problems with touch at Wolfsburg, ever). He adjusted to EPL, and now he is fine. Only people who blatantly dislike him do not see progress in this regard.

That's why statements like "his first touch is reliably awful" get me raging...cause they are just fucking dumb with no real argument behind them.

Re: Edin Dzeko legend

Dzeko's awful first touch prevented him from breaking the Bundesliga scoring record as a duo with grafite and 54 goals in one season.

Oh wait.. it didn't. It's also preventing him from being the top scorer this season?

Sometimes the service sucks too. Aguero has been struggling with the first touch as well, especially in the most recent Spurs match. But I am not unfairly putting the blame on him, like you do on Dzeko.

Striking a ball on a "first touch" is not equal to "first touch" control?
Striking a ball into a goal with a single contact with a ball does not require control?

Wow!

WOWWW!!!!

What he means is first touch to control the ball, which I agree with. There have been lots of time when the ball has been passed to Dzeko during a pass-and-move attack and his first touch has been so bad that a defender has taken the ball off him.
But dont get me wrong, i love the guy and I think his talent is in his finishing. He is a great finisher with both feet and head.
This on all counts. There's no point arguing with WimbledonRd as he's admitted he's not a City fan, so he's either here to stir the pot or because he has a raging erection for a certain player... likely both.

Stir what fukin pot.. i like city. but im not a fan obviously (cuz im not British( or from Manchester) i support my state team the Columbus crew (which are dog shit hence why i watch the epl and enjoy it) but more of a natural that fuking hates Madrid and united due to the sheer amount of deluded united drones that go to my uni) what have i said that is not true.

1. dzeko is the highest scorer in the team. fact
2. When dzeko starts they dont play to his strength (ie playing on the wings or all the balls from middle play no winger support) fact.
3. He deserves a run of fukin games since hes the top scorer and IMO on form compared to Kun/tevez

What have i said that is so fukin controversial to revert in insulting me ? am i slaging city off ?

You clearly didn't watch the match.

Again I am not blaming Aguero, but if this was Dzeko, rocks and stones would have been thrown at him, just like they were for one offside that occurred during the Ajax game (the other offside was a ref error). How many offsides were called on Tevez and Aguero during the Spurs game?
