Was thinking of starting a new thread, but it would probably just be merged here anyway.

Anyone realize Dzeko's celebrations are starting to resemble Balotelli's alot. What with the no-running, no-cheering, just standing there, arms spread wide. And don't forget the stern look.

Something tells me somewhere somehow, Dzeko got influenced by Balotelli. I believe this line comes to mind, "I don't celebrate because my job is to score." If anything, this is a really positive mentality.

he maybe just wants to change his celebrations a bit...the arms spread wide has always been his signature celebration style...

Really? Didn't follow him before City though. Just somehow I find his attitude has changed, and of course, I like it.

It has something with change of his attitude, I think he wants to be more cocky now than he was and to say - you see, I'm better than you thought. He would acknowledge one who would assist him before but he is rarely doing it now.

The other day when he scored against Norwich (the first one I think) and when he spread the arms and made that cocky face he said on Bosnian - "Who's your daddy?" :)

Eh, Balo is real role model ;-)) ... especially for serious adult & grown man with titanic character such as Dzeko.
Your insinuation is really lame - while Balo has interesting character he is still just a stupid spoiled child and media clown.
By the way look at intro page at his official website, stretched arms was Edins' signature celebration, as N17 put it very perceptively !

That's Dzeko nowadays I'm afraid.. if he doesn't score he usually looks shit, it's same in City and national team. Good for him that he does find a net often though.

No not vilified - people just suggested he should be put into asylum (Iain Dowie at Sky panel discussing Tevez at Munich, of course Tevez was criticized in pretty much normal tone for what he done, while Edin was characterized as a lunatic !); then compared with Ibra with interesting conclusion that their common trait is being Bosnian and ugly (!!!), with no talent for football (Ryan Smith at Transfer Tavern).

Should I throw some more of the equal ugly characterizations from media, only more recent ?

I didn't say "someone", I said Iain Dowie at Sky, in front of camera - Transfer Tavern and their columnist Ryan Smith who judged Dzeko and Ibra on the basis of their Bosnian ethnicity (Smith, young Arsenal striker few years ago went to MSL) - they are on-line just use your preferred search engine....
