How many years should he be given to learn to control a ball?

However...
He isn't a bad 3rd 4th choice striker (for me he should be 4th) good luck to him in the new season. I am actually more concerned about the 4th choice centre midfielder.
Yeah bag of shit, we need to sign Suarez, Ronaldo and Messi to play 2nd, 3rd and 4th fiddle behind Aguero to win the league.
Did you not read what I sed. He isn't a bad 3rd 4th choice. He's just better when he's not on the pitch like most 3rd and 4th choice players.

Hahahahahaha.

Either reel your line in, or stop watching football.

Chelsea have spent about £30M on a Dzeko "wannabee".
They've spent £30m on an apparent goal manchine, who has had two good seasons in his career.
Even if he scores a few less. I bet he is a better all round player then Dzeko. I can't think of anyone who Dzeko has a better touch then (help me out) I believe Dzeko is lucky he has City. I belive most strikers would score in this team.

Lucky he has City? So presumably you think if he was playing for someone else his record wouldn't be as good. Like when he was playing for Wolfsburg in the German League

Did you know Damien that one year the players of the Bundesliga voted him their player of the year. Yep, German player of the year as voted by his fellow professionals. There are some good players in that German league as well you know and even with Edin's poor touch they still voted him player of the year.
Pretty amazing really don't you think?

But hey, I'm sure your judgement of a player is superior to that of a top league of professional players.

Spot on. If he ever come close to what Dzeko has achieved in the premier league he will be celebrated at Chelsea as a hero. Btw Dzeko had more or less eight good seasons in the row. Each season he scored 14 or more league goals except first half season at City. His goals were decisive in winning three league and two cup trophies. One Bundesliga title with Wolfsburg where he was two seasons in a row the league top goalscorer, two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and One Carling Cup with City. He is officially league's the most consistent goalscorer last three seasons.
Not to bad for a donkey.

Dzeko = CONSISTENCY

:-)

For all Dzeko's faults, I think he was key to us winning the league last season. He stepped up when it mattered.
I don't deny his goals was key. However I do believe his overall play makes City less dangerous most games.
I am afraid that's just your perception. Forget where I saw it, but City had higher win % with Dzeko on the pitch last season.

Re: Edin Dzeko

Damien10 has caught a few here surely? Don't know how anyone could be bothered by his performance today, yes it was poor but so was the majority's. It's only a pre-season game after all.

I can tell this thread's going to be fun over the season, after the first bit of criticism people are jumping down his throat and personally insulting him.
