No idea how he played overall. Apparently for his third he actually tried to control it. But you know Edin's first touch...

I'm a big defender of Edin, but I watched the second half of this game and although he scored 3, he played as badly as I've ever seen him play. It might be because Liechtenstein were so crap and the Bosnians were pissing about too much (like when any team goes 4 or 5 up and players try to do too much, or get sloppy with passes, etc.).

I still think he's a great player who's unfairly judged a lot of the time (try counting how many times Tevez, Aguero, or Balotelli miss a half chance...), but he was pretty poor in this game (at least in the second half).

Did it against Spurs (plus one) last season as well.

I watched the match, and as others have said, he did not play that well but showed class throughout, if that makes any sense. I think he will have a good season for us.

3 more tonight...I hope he carries that form into the Stoke game. A goal next weekend and he is a certain starter for the Real match.

If Mario has recovered from his eye surgery I'd put good money on him starting the Real game.
