I've read a lot of opinion s on Dzeko and the general consensus is that he lacks that vital yard of pace needed in the prem. It's also been said his first touch has been poor so far. Whilst i cannot disagree with people pointing out in judgement these vital qualities in a top class striker needed, it is far too early to start writing him off. I think the trouble with us lot sometimes is that we can be too cynical in the stands and players pick up on the derisory heckled comments, consequently leading to withdrawn and negative displays.

Dzeko reminds me a bit like Teddy sheringham in that he too wasn't blessed with Usain Bolt like speed but had an uncanny knack[as Dzeko will prove] of being in the right place right time. We can also consider that he has not had any consistent crosses to thrive on for if he had, i'm sure he would of stuck his bonce on quite a few to score more goals.

Let's get behind him and his confidence will see him become a force for us next seasion.

If he hadnt scored at Notts County and Blackburn our season could have ended very differently.
Quite right mate, that fact is not lost on me!! We were well heading for FA Cup exit embarrassment at Notts County before he got sharply on the end of that cross.

Im confident that a full pre-season program will allow Edin to produce his best next season.
His Wolfsburg goals relied on crosses and City just dont play that way at the mo so maybe he wont be as effective as we think he should!

I just get the feeling about him that if he feels he's not performing well he will knuckle down, put in the effort and look to improve his game and live up to his potential.

Seriously, this guy will be good. Give him time.

He also seems to be good at getting on with everyone around the camp, and has tamed "The Balotelli" into being his best mate. I really hope it comes good for him, because he's almost too nice for it not to work for him.

He's also got a really good work ethic about him, and has an excellent attitude to football. He also seems to love the fans; all the goals that he has scored, he has immediately faced the fans and cheered! I want him to be brilliant, I really do. And finally, he's showing signs of it.

Keep it up, Edin.
