Ffs give the poor guy a break!! Has scored some pretty important goals for us and contributes to team play far more than Mario. He may not be as brilliant as our other strikers when it comes to technical ability but always puts a shift in and gives us something different up front.
I would definitely rather he stays than let him go on the cheap.

Love Dzeko anyway,think he comes across as a top guy and he does it in big games and scores crucial goals.
Got the Champions Dvd on at moment and when he scores the sixth the way he has to check the score before holding his fingers up is priceless.

love Dzeko - his attitude is spot on and we saw what a player he can be when given the opportunity early last season...
hope he stays, and by the way he should have started against liverpool, why drop him when he scored in the last match?

There is way too much over-analyzing on this forum. Some of you guys have unrealistic expectations of the players and are way too "knee jerk". If you didn't see the way that Dzeko opened up the game with his presence against Liverpool, then you don't know football.
Sure he looks awkward sometimes because of his height, but he's very effective. People often underestimated him because of this.
Dzeko should've scored but it wasn't an easy angle. Give Balotelli a break too, it's not that easy to score in the PL.

If he had a little more playing time, perhaps he would have buried that chance. The point is unlike Mario, he was in the right place to score. Where was Mario when Tevez hit the post? On the edge of the box ffs.
Edin is far more like Jelavic for Everton, but they don't have alternatives so he plays week in week out. They both get pilloried far more for lack of ball control than poor finishing. Let David Silva play pretty football. Let Edin show what he can do best....put the ball in the back of the net!

Wouldn't have won anything without him the last 2 seasons. It's a squad game these days so how about getting behind the lad. The goals he has scored have been some of the most important in our recent history!

Well said these guys want FIFA12 football where players score a hat trick every game. Over 15 goals a season means you a very good striker in this league.

Dzeko got 14 in the league last season and 4 came in 1 game so does that mean you think he isnt a very good striker in this league? As for the Fifa comment i dont think people expect a hat-trick every week even Messi cant achieve that!
