Edin Dzeko

Some of Dzeko's biggest fans irritate me with their adulation of the bloke and some of his performances in a City shirt have been poor.

However his record shows that he is a prolific goal scorer and from what I read he is a decent bloke (though I don't know this for sure). So the fact that he seems to be on his way out is a little dispiriting and may be an indicment of Bobbys tactics and man management.

Yesterday showed that our current style of play is not always working and we need an alternative (no more than yesterday) which to me would be utilising a big man playing with pace on the flanks. Dzeko could be that player but I guess we will never know

We need to keep Dzeko as a plan b player. Mancini was being out thought tactically yesterday so he should have brought Dzecko on for Nasri at half time and switched to pumping crosses into the area for him to knock down or head for goal.

got a text off my ex saying she was drinking with him last night in london, said someone asked him about the cup and he just shrugged his shoulders, didnt seem too bothered and was just very drunk

It will be interesting to see what Pellegrini thinks of Dzeko. I'm sure no one will be sold until Pellegrini chimes in.

Well if Mancini goes I think Dzeko will stay Isco comes, Edin would thrive on wing play, I think we could end up playing a faster paced game unless the Barca lads have already part ex him for Cavani!

I sort of agree,we definitely needed to switch to a more direct game a lot earlier on .

The problem is that we don't play like that. We have never pumped crosses in to the box. Other than Milner (and he's better on the middle) we have no wingers or width at all.

regardless of how lazy/average we think he is. he can do a job off the bench and mancini, seeing that the game was sliding away from us, should have brouhgt him on for the last 20-25 minutes. bringing him on for the last 30 seconds is laughable
