I don't think the club would willingly accept the minimum, in that scenario, of £20m.

Was there not rumors when a swap for Cavani was mentioned that the club valued Dzeko at £25m?

Suarez is on £150k at Liverpool, hasn't discussed personal terms with any other club but wants out.

He is on 120k and Arsenal is offering him 150k. Plus he doesn't need to discuss personal terms with anyone to know that he will, as one of the best world players, get significant wage improvement wherever he moves, if he does. And play in Champions League, in clubs that have some chances of winning something etc..

In Dzeko's case it's wages and club that he feels is big enough for him.
So say Dortmund are willing to match Dzeko's wages and offer £20m for him, with reports the club value him at £25m so they reject the offer.

Would Dzeko accept that? I don't think he would.

Or is there a reason that Dzeko wouldn't get the same kind of assurances you claim Suarez would?

You mean would he accept that City won't sell him?

I don't think so, I think he'd push for the move with bothe arms and legs. But matching the wages is important part as far as he is concerned, not the 20m offer, that's what I objected.

Should we interpret that as if Dzeko will track back less when the game is really, really important? Do you have any logical basis for that assumption? By the same logic Negredo will be absolute shit in important games since you assume an inverted causality between work effort and importance of the game. Or does your logic only apply to Dzeko?

Logic? They don't have a logic when it comes to Dzeko mate, lol.

When we are at Negredo... as soon as he signed I said it's a great signing, much better than Cavani unlike hard core Mancunians saying "fuck, why we haven't bought Cavani for 4 times a transfer fee and tripple wages so I can brag about it to my rag mates as that's all that is important in my miserable life" but even Negredo, his teammate, one he'll drink, eat, play, sleep with is being used same minute to have a dig at him, to belittle him, to humiliate him..

One of the posts I've read on Negredo's thread was "wow, I didn't know Negredo's career stats are one goal in 2 games, that means Dzeko as 3rd or 4th striker"..

Dzeko might as well be 3rd or 4th striker if manager decides him to be but the funny fact is that Dzeko's career goalscoring stats are significantly better, bettered only by no more than few strikers on the world but hey, let not let the facts ruin the chance of belittling the guy who any City fan with half a brain should consider a legend if he never scored a single goal except one of 3 most important in their club's history, one of 3 that made many of their miserable lifes better.

So glad we got Negredo instead of Cavani....Stop talking shite about Mancunians or any other City fan. Fact of the matter is you are a Dzeko fanboy.I however am not (but will support him whilst he wears the blue).

I'll talk any shite I want, thank you. I'm just matching what you are writing :)

BTW, as stated million times by Mr. MSP I don't give a flying fuck who are you, what you were and since when. If you're trying to impress me you might reconsider your approach because that one erm. is not working :)

Another Adebayor case, money grabber mercenary c**t.

That's what cunts like you deserve and what your club will only get as long as it has cunts like you as fans ;)

It's not like players are dying to come and hear abuse from brainless low-life twats without being heavily compensated :)

Good post mate. It's a shame how much shit Dzeko gets on this forum. It's also funny that when we signed Dzeko everyone was creaming themselves that we'd signed one of the best forwards in Europe, fast forward a few years and Cavani/Falcao are the new Dzeko and Dzeko is the new Adebayor.

I've been saying for a while, I think Pellegrini will do a better job of keeping rotated players happy and getting performances out of them when required. Guys like Dzeko and Nasri are going to flourish.

Like the rest of his teammates came here for the great weather as they often complain about..

Wow!! what can i say
Ranting here about Dzeko (being pro or against ) i dont think its going to make any difference, its only down to the manager if he wants him to stay or not , and so be it.
personally i think they are going to shift him to NYCFC with Gareth Barry when they start, thats the only logic that make sense to me for them still be part of the team.

Class player in a squad full of quality. Fans of the same class will offer terrific support to the player as long as he remains a player for the club.

For a reason that I don't understand, some fans of the club choose to pick up on one or two players to criticise while other players are immune to the same levels of scrutiny. Dzeko and Kolarov are the current targets with Nasri a close third. This is a cultural issue within the club and has affected several players over the years.

We can change this now. In any other era, Dzeko would be a club hero. Let's get behind him now and encourage him to be the best he can be.

Thanks bro.. but I'm not sure he'll flourish though it's yet to see. Maybe a bit better season if Pellegrini changes a tactic and play more direct football but as he proved already he is easily 15 goals striker even when he is treated like someone with special needs and not like one of world's best strikers he is so it might even happen.

I do think that he doesn't give too much damn about City now and that he had enough of shit thrown at him by twats so he plays as much as he needs to stay professional, doubt he has any passion to play for City anymore. It could only change if Pellegrini's man management is as good as it's said it is so he reset his head.

I disagree about the passion part.

He played a bit better during these last few friendlies. He's pressing more, he's running around a bit more.

Should be a good year for him. I can see Negredo and Dzeko working well together if Pelle lines them up in the same XI.

Yeah MSP I think you're being a bit harsh on Edin. It's easy to level the passion argument at 3/4 of the squad when it comes to the season just gone. I'm confident that even if Dzeko is unsettled and does want a move, Pellegrini will re-energise him. The upcoming season a very big one and I've a feeling this time next year we're going to be talking about Edin as a 40 million pound striker again.

Maybe it's just the optimist in me now that the problem at the club's been removed... :)
