Silva, and nasri where off... the pace of the game was slowed down.

PMSL. They went off after 71 and 73 minutes.

As i posted earlier, there is always an excuse, never anything to do with Dzeko.

theres an always an excuse to find new ways to critice a possotive performance that led to the team win when it comes to dzeko... goes both ways pall

When he plays well he gets praise, when he dosen't he gets criticism, same as every other player.
Just other players have not got a fanatical bunch of disciples throwing a tantrum when they are criticised.

No, the problem is that when he plays shit you guys can not see it or if you do, blame everyone else. That is the problem.

I can't understand why Dzeko is coming in for so much criticism. Is Negredo better linking up with Aguero? Of course he is and the pair are looking dynamite together this year. However, part of the problem with Mancini was the fact that we only played one way and couldn't change things in a game. I don't think he has ever really been allowed to play the main striker role at City and patiently stood back and observed the pantomine of Balotelli and Tevez. Dzekos goalscoring record speaks for itself and with the introduction of Navas this year I can imagine he must have been licking his lips at the prospect of being able to attack crosses. Unfortunately for him, Navas hasn't shown the potential of his first game and we're scoring loads of goals playing without direct wingers.
The main issue now is whether Pelligrini want's to persevere with Dzeko or if he can motivate a top class international to play second fiddle. It's no secret that Dzeko is held in really high esteem in Germany and had a few meetings when we played Dortmund last year.
I wouldn't be suprised to see him move on and be a real success at another top european club. But if it does happen, I for one will wish him all the best.

The basic fact of the matter is that Dzeko is much better in a 4-3-3 system with two wide players crossing the ball in to him. City have not played this way since his arrival. He still scores at a prolific rate but his overall play and contribution to the side is not on the same level as Aguero and now Negredo. Negredo has shown his ability to play in a different system to one he played in with Sevilla and Spain and puts in 100%. Dzeko can not be criticised for his goal scoring ability, he comes off the bench and nearly always scores. But is he ever going to be in our starting lineup as long as we a) play 4-4-2 and/or b) have Aguero? No. The fact of the matter is he might be a good player, and I do not believe he deserves as much criticism as he does get, he has saved us a number of times, showing great determination from the bench when he could just potter about - but he just will not be the star man in attack. I do not see why anyone is on this thread moaning though when both Aguero and Negredo played well together at the weekend and scored and that Dzeko came on and also scored. It is a good situation. We scored 7 at home. Anyone who believes anything different should have happened in that game needs to be checked over by a doctor.

Ok we give in! He's better than pele and messi. You are right and we are all wrong.

Can you stop now please.
Can we sell him for £100 million to Real then? If they want a reference we can just point them at his fanboys.
