Negredo saved the day, therefore I'm glad that we won and that Dzeko is replaced.
However, Dzeko did not have real chance to score. Game was with no tempo, not enough paste. Some players need to pass ball faster, playe one-two touch game, faster build up. Also deffending, especialy in first half was poor - need serious correction.

Kun WILL start to gain match fitness. He had no preseason.

kinda like slating your own players lol.... If kun didnt have a pre season logic dictates u ease him in giving him 30 mins in the 2nd half so he can slowly ease in not drop him in the deep end hope he can preform miracles (which obviously hes not doing)

That's not how it would have worked in pre season though.

And if any of our strikers are capable of performing miracles, it's him.

Well considering my opinion is echoed by pretty much everyone in the stadium on a match day I'd say that's a decent indicator.

I'm a City fan and a season card holder and on current form i would 100% have Dzeko ahead of Aguero! What has Aguero actually done away from his goal against Newcastle? Little flick to assist Dzeko yes but no real running or effort

No running or effort? Sorry but that's absolute nonsense. His game may be rusty, and without kicking a ball in anger during preseason I think that's to be expected, but the things he has done well include running and effort. Things haven't really come off for him as yet but they will. Dzeko isn't in the same league, not even close.

He didn't do well today though, that's the point. His control let him down on at least 3 separate occasions that gifted Hull possession when we were needing to keep the ball in their half and put them on the back foot. He lost out on a few headers, which considering his size is unacceptable, especially when Negredo came on and won nearly everything.
You're correct about lack of real service as the midfield were poor today, but any critism today is warranted. He wasnt the only player who had a bad game, but a bad game he had whichever way you look at it.

If you've been following City for any amount of time you shouldn't need telling why we're sour, dour bastards, it's in our DNA! :-)

The persistent animosity towards Dzeko in this forum is very puzzling (or not).

The guy is not going to score in every game and that does not translate as him not playing well enough or him being rubbish.

Dzeko is a top class goalscorer and is the best goal scorer in the squad, accept it or not.

Get off his back and support him for once as we are going to need him for what is going to be a very testing season.

i don't mind if he scores or not, but he must play for the team, run, play with passion and that's all. look at negredo, how he tries to help team, how he takes part in pressing and what a big desire he has to win. dzeko has been 4 years here and i haven't seen that so far. we need stability and if you think that we will tittle if dzeko is n1 forward in line-up and scores 15 goals you know nothing about football :D
remember at least tevez from 09/10 season ;)
look how rvp plays, compare him with dzeko and everything is clear. city is too god for him :)
